We have reservations for the mid to end of February 2009 and now our daughter is telling us we are crazy because everyone on the East Coast will be there because of mid-winter breaks. Are we in for trouble with crowds?![]()

I don't think even Disney could handle everyone on the East coast.
It does get busy right around President's Day, which is kind of late this year - the 18th.
I much prefer to go when the crowds are small...not just because of ride wait times....Its so much easier to navigate your way through the parks, I feel so much less about a kid getting lost. We get so much more accomplished during slow season in a park, even with the earlier closing hours. Maybe I wouldnt feel that way if we didnt have the strollers, and duffle bags stuffed with misc "family needs" crap, and if I weren't so HUGE.
One summer a couple of years back it was shoulder to shoulder, back to wall busy and 95 in the shade...were standing in line for Jungle Cruise and this little kid starts using the back of my legs and butt as a road for his toy car or what ever the heck it was. I turned and gave him my "Little dude, I will EAT you and spit your bones in your daddy's face!" look, (crowds and heat make me grumpy like that) then looked at his parents the same way...they muttered some foreign commands and the kid backed off of me. 20 seconds later, there he is again, using my wide-lane butt as transportation for his little freakin mickey-mobile......it was hot, man. I was dripping sweat, got this stupid back pack on my shoulder that weighs 40lbs...and he was the perfect height......it was one of those coffee induced "silent but extremely deadly" ones. I dont know what language they spoke, or what he said....but it began with "Eeeeeeeeeeeew, ma-MA...." that was pretty universal for "He farted in my face", parents picked himup...and there was a good 2 ft between them and my Mt.Butt for the remainder of the line.
