Is it difficult to drive to universal at night from MCO?

My sil is flying down with a 1130pm approx arrival time, they are not familar with the area at all and were told by someone that it is very confusing at night if you are not familar, is this tru or is someone just trying to convince her not to rent a car and stay on property?

Alamo and National both offer rentals with GPS, you have to try to get lost using one of these.

It's VERY easy to get to Universal from MCO. But where? Do you mean one of the Universal Studios hotels or do you mean a hotel on Universal Blvd?

11:30 pm should be less in way of traffic on beeline from MCO to Universal

i've driven to U many times and have missed the turnoff on I-4 just as many; set up rather odd imo

my suggestion driving from MCO is to take the Universal Blvd exit (before beeline hits I-4). It's a back road of sorts, lots of lights; still as stress free as it gets & only adds a few minutes to the drive & turn-offs to the onsite resorts are well marked

Very simple:

Use the airport's NORTH exit.
Get on TOLL 528 (Beachline Expressway) WESTbound.
There will be two toll plazas: $1.00 & $.75.
(Skip the Universal Blvd.(Exit#2) & International Drive (Exit#1) exits)
Merge onto I-4 EASTbound.
Once on I-4, get off at the 2nd exit, which is signed as International Drive.
At the top of the off-ramp at light, that road is Universal Blvd. TURN LEFT.
Cross over I-4 and the first traffic light is Hollywood Blvd. TURN LEFT.
The Royal Pacific will be the first light on your left. Very visible signage.

Very, very easy.
