Thinking of going to BB or TL the last Saturday in August, as it fits best into our 7-day schedule. Will it be totally packed (with locals, I'm wondering)? Should we try to figure a different day?

TIA :sunny:

Yes, it's crazy. But if it's you're only day possible, go anyway. :thumbsup2

I wonder if Fridays are just as bad......

Are they slowest during the week?

I would go early for the emh and get in the main attractions you want first. It might not be horrible since some schools should be in?

All the FL schools will be back in session by then.

I will say that we went to BB last Saturday, and it was far less crowded than on Good Friday. We got there about 1, and there was plenty of parking.

But just be prepared that it might be packed and have a back up plan.

Just back from the World. A bus driver really talked up going to the TL Extended Magic Hours they have scheduled for Saturday night from 6-9. We didn't try it. But it might be an option for you if they still offer those hours in August.

hi went to blizzard beach last saturdayand was pleasantly surprised how relativeley uncrowded it was. typhoon lagoon on the thursday was much busier!

On a related note we were thinking of going to Typhoon Lagoon on the 4th July as we thought it might be less busy than the parks. Would this be a bad idea?

We plan on doing both water parks on 9/2 and 9/3. We are going to try to fit in something during the week but we figure with the Tom Joyner going on in MGM and Labor Day Weekend, more people may want to hit the park than the waterpark. We plan on going 1st thing when it opens so if it gets too crowded as the day progresses, we will leave.

Whatever day you go get there first thing in the morning. Go to EMH early opening if you are staying onsite.

The lines for the slides will be almost non-existent for the first couple of hours. Do all the slides first. Then when it starts getting crowded in the afternoon spend your time in the wave pool & lazy river (no lines for those-except maybe to get an innertube for the lazy river!).

We get to the waterparks right at opening and then leave by 2pm or so when they start getting really crowded. The water is plenty warm in the morning, so don't worry about that.
