Is it better to call or fax in shore excursions?

I didn't know what was the safest way to make reservations for any shore excursions. As I understand it~ there is not dolphin swimming on CC , right??

No dolphin encounters on CC. I always faxed mine in but it is much quicker if you call. It took them 2 days to do my shore excursions when I faxed, did it right on the phone when I called. If the excursion is popular, those 2 days may make you loose it. Either is fine though, just gets done quicker by phone.

On the morning of D -day minus 60, At 7:59 AM Eastern time i was on redial.

Answered promtply at 8. Got my ressies right in

Since I gave them a fax number, I had my confirmation in hand within minutes. Very comforting.

That is correct there is no dolphin swim at CC. I would think that make a wish would be arranging your daughter's excursions as part of the trip though since you told them she specifically wanted to swim with the dolphins.

Yea, I would think that would be true. In that case - you should be in a great position, CK: you won't have to worry about the excursion crunch that would otherwise occupy prep. time before the cruise.

Well; I thought that very same thing Ann and GlensideGregorys....but when they called me Tu, I asked specifically about it...and the girl that does the travel arrangements said I would have make the arrangements on my own.
So maybe she will and maybe she wont, but I want to know the best way to handle it if I do have to do it....

Well that is confusing. If I were you I would call back Make a wish to get the details straight. I would assume they are paying for your daughter to do the swim since they were told that was her wish? Are they just putting money in her account for it? I would think they would want to make the arrangements to insure she got her wish and there was no mixup.. I would certainly call them and get firm details.

What I would do is to plan on booking it at the 60 day mark just in case. Once you have confirmation that they have made the arrangements for you, then I would cancel. You can cancel them withing 2 days of cruising I think without ever being charged. That way, if they are not arranging it, you will have it before it sells out.

Aren't you beyond the 60 day mark at this point? I thought you were cruising right after Christmas? Wouldn't that be less than 60 days away? (DD has not yet started the official Santa countdown!) I would be a bit concerned if I were you if MAW has not given you your excursions form yet and they expect you to take care of it. Your Wish volunteer may never have done the cruise before so you should call right away. Was your child's actual wish the cruise or a dolphin swim? If the latter, then it would seem like they need to get that arranged ASAP!
