Is it better to book with...?

It depends.

With AAA, what you want (or I would want) is the discount. You can get a AAA discount on room only reservations by booking through AAA or Disney (if you use the web site, you can call and apply the discount if it is available to your resort/room type).

If you want a MYW package with a AAA discount, you can only get that with a AAA travel agent.

It just depends on what discount is available. I've used AAA and had no luck with a discount - it seems to depend on the AAA travel agent and/or whether you are watching for available discounts. There are general public discounts available, too, so you don't necessarily need AAA.

Here is a great web site for explaining all of this...
http://www.mousesavers.com/wdw.html

And a book that I really liked for this type of stuff is The Unofficial Guide to WDW.

Have a great trip!

A very big piece of that puzzle is the time of year you are going. Since we choose a peak season, I call the resort directly and book the room. If a rate or discount code comes up, they will always adjust the reservation without having to cancel and re-book. I personally have never used the website:surfweb: --always call imo. There is a seperate thread under resorts on this board called "rates and codes" and you can do some investigation on what is available for your dates. I've never belonged to AAA, so havent' a clue there. If you have a Disney VISA, you can earn reward dollars that can be spent on anything at WDW, so that could serve as your room discount if you use them strictly to pay for the resort. We also get the Disney Dining Experience to save another $200+ so it all works out nicely:thumbsup2
