We are planning an early February trip in 2017 and are debating a Friday arrival and departure or a Saturday one. Flight are cheaper on the Friday but we are worried the parks will be busier if we go Friday to Friday as we'll be there and visiting over 2 weekend days instead of one.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Early February isn't a crowded time, i don't think it makes a difference. I would do the cheaper airfare.

We usually do Saturday to Saturday because it's one less day missing work/school. But if that's not a factor for you, I think you'll be fine either way.

We go sat to sat, but if it was cheaper and possible to go friday, I would definitely go friday and add an extra day to the trip.

We normally do Saturday to Saturday for work purposes and the flights normally get us there early on Saturday. Our upcoming trip the Saturday flight was both late day AND more expensive than the Friday flight, we just added Friday night on to our free dining package-what we saved in airfare paid for the room for one more night, and extra Disney time. Then we applied the same logic to the end of the trip and our 7 nights turned into 9 nights :p.

We've started Thurs to Thurs for cheaper airfare. Took an extra PTO day, but is worth it.

I'd go with the cheaper flights, BUT I'd check the price of a Sunday departure, too. ;)

Agreed. Frankly, I don't think it makes all that much of a difference if you do Sat to Sat, Fri to Fri or Tue to Tue. You're experiencing all days of the week whatever way you slice it. In all the time I've spent in WDW over the past 12 months, I honestly couldn't tell you a pattern of which weekday is more busy than the other...it's more what time of year it is.

We just did Friday to Friday and it worked out great. Our outbound flight was Friday at about 11 am. This worked out great because we avoided the massive crush of people trying to get on early flights and making the security checkpoints really long.

We go Friday to Sunday. That way Friday can be a wash if flights suck and we don't feel chested by leaving on a Saturday.

I did Friday to Friday. But crowd wise, I don't think it makes much of a difference. Airfare will be cheaper on Friday vs Saturday, usually. At least in my experience. I came back late last night (technically early this morning since it was after midnight when I got home).

Fly in early (i took the 5:20am flight on the friday, and fly out late from Disney. i flew out at 9:50pm. I still had 9.5 hours at the parks on my last day and it was AWESOME!)

Heck, we've always done Sunday to Saturday.

This year is the first year we are doing Saturday to Saturday.

We did Saturday to Saturday this year but Saturday was so busy at MK and we like to start with MK. So I thought Sunday to Sunday next year but now I'm adding on a resort day to the front so we are doing Saturday to Sunday.

We also do Saturday to Saturday normally, this month (Fri-Sun) we are leaving on Friday at noon (we drive) and have 3-1/2 hours left on Saturday. Not happy to hear MK is so busy on Saturday since that will be our last day there.

We generally do Friday Night after kids (school-day, & my work) until the following Saturday night.

Ideally what would be great would be, Saturday to Saturday.---> That's Saturday Dec. 31st 2016, to Saturday Dec. 30th 2017..lol :teeth:

Let me preface this by saying I'm from NY.

I would absolutely go Fri to Fri. That way, should bad weather impact your return flight, there's more of a cushion for you to get to work Monday.

February is our snow month. The weather absolutely needs to be considered when booking flights.
