I admit that I have had my head at least partially buried in the sand since this past Presidential election, wishing away these Bush and company years so that someone can come in (probably a Democrat) and fix America, seeing as how this administration has messed everything up so badly. (That's my opinion. Always has been.)

But now with this:

Cheney May Be Source in CIA Leak, Report Says
Prosecutor Is Thought to Be Close to Ending Investigation

Whats up with that?

Simple, it's the truth. Our administration has committed treason. There were no WMD's, the intelligence was fixed, they decided to go to war against Iraq long before 9/11 (not to mention that the actual mastermind of 9/11 not only walks free but is not considered a priority by this administration), and the 2,000th soldier to die for a lie sadly passed away in the last 24 hours.

Yet, there are many people who do not believe that any of this matters....

This is the best fictional account I've read in many days. Thanks for the entertainment.

It matters, everytime I look out my work window and see my cousins sons flag in her window, waiting for him to come home safe.

That IS what truly matters, I agree. :(

what part of that is fiction?

there are no WMD
the evidence was exaggerated at best and a flat out lie at the worst
Iraq was planned before 9/11
Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11
People in the WH told reporters who Joe Wilson's wife was
over half of congress isn't holding the admin accountable - do they believe it matters?

and sadly 2000 soliders have died in Iraq. I'm just glad my army BIL isn't there.

Yeah, Fox News is great hugh, the only station in the world not working to get a democrat elected in 2008.

I completely agree, Mugg Man.

DawnCT- I'm sure you will be popping into this thread soon. What do you think about the fact that your beloved administration just drastically cut our state's funding for homeland security?
How close do you live to any of the nuclear power plants?

You can say that again! The next thing you know, they will be nominating Saddam for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Please post ANY kind of factual information that will disprove any of Mugg Mann's statements of truth.

There has been a lot of waste in the homeland security budget. Never fear however, Richard 'I'll sue you" Blumenthal was actually joking about suing the DoD Saturday night at a Democratic fund raiser that we attended for DH's cousin's wife. I am sure we will need those Wart Hogs when Rhode Island invades Ct.

Otherwise known as the "in this case two wrongs do make a right" defense.

"The war on terror involves Saddam Hussein because of the nature of Saddam Hussein, the history of Saddam Hussein, and his willingness to terrorize himself." — George W. Bush Grand Rapids, Mich., Jan. 29, 2003

Guess we went to war because Saddam is terrorizing himself. Or at least that is what our fine president is telling us :rotfl:

"People say, how can I help on this war against terror? How can I fight evil? You can do so by mentoring a child; by going into a shut-in's house and say I love you." —George W. Bush - Washington, D.C., Sept. 19, 2002

So, why are we at war? According to our president - all we need to do to fight terror is to mentor a child or just say I Love You.

what part of that is fiction? I'll field this one.

there are no WMD Yes there are.
the evidence was exaggerated at best and a flat out lie at the worst Nu-uh.
Iraq was planned before 9/11 No way
Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 Yes they did
People in the WH told reporters who Joe Wilson's wife was big deal
over half of congress isn't holding the admin accountable - do they believe it matters? Wait a minute...I need to reinflate my George Bush blow up doll and I'll get back to you on that one.

and sadly 2000 soliders have died in Iraq. I'm just glad my army BIL isn't there. Not important....you know what is though? Hillary Clinton letting the White House travel office go and Bill's sexual escapades with interns....that's what's really important!!! Get on board!!!

"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him." — George W. Bush - Washington, D.C., Sept. 13, 2001

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority." —George W. Bush - Washington, D.C., March 13, 2002

Here it is iwantahemi -straight from the horse's mouth. He does not care, nor does he think it important where Bin Laden is. And Bin Laden is the one responsible for 9/11 - not Iraq.

"Can we win? I don't think you can win it." —after being asked whether the war on terror was winnable, - George W. Bush "Today" show interview, Aug. 30, 2004

And apparently the Pres doesn't have much confidence in his ability to win the war on terror. He pretty much sums up his bumbling administration and why he might just have committed above referenced (Mugg Mann) treasonous acts.
