we will be going to universal studio 8/27, staying at the royal pacific. my daughter and I. should we get the meal plan? will it be a big savings?

It's only a great savings if you find value in it and if that is the food you and your daughter want to eat. There are 3 restaurants in IOA and 3 in US. There are a few discussions on these boards about it and if you are not aware of the participating restaurants and what they serve go to the universal orlando website and see if it for you, or do a google search and type in universal meal deal.

JMHO, there are so many cool places to eat at USO at all price points, I could not restrict myself to 3 restaurants per park....but that's just me.

Stay awau from the meal plans especially for the children. This is what is included in the kids meal. Three small round deep fried and breaded macaroni bites and fries and cookie or a mini-hotdog the size of your little finger, fries and cookie or a mini-cheeseburger the size of a silver dollar and fries and a cookie. My kids were so digusted with fries after the day, I think they will never eat another fry again. You can go back multiple times but it would take about 6 trips to equal the amount of protein in a regular burger or hotd dog.
