Is is possible to get CRT as a walk in or the night before?

DH and I want to surprise our DD wih a quick trip to WDW over MLK holiday. Is possible to get a walk-up seating? Any suggestion?

I have never heard of that on this board at all. However, my neighbor swears that she called the morning she wanted the PS when she was at WDW and they gave her a reservaton! I tried that this summer with no luck.
