Is is always freezing at Christmas?

I was in Disney World this past Decemebr a week before Christmas and it was FREEZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were in winter jackets, sweatshirts, mittens, ear muffs, everything! Our faces were so red and we were so miserable. We drove 23 hours from Wisconsin and when we got out of the car, it was the SAME TEMPERATURE! I was just wondering if it is always this cold. We are planning ot go back in December because we like all the decorations but I want to know if it is even worth it to be looking at resorts with the best pool. (Was anyone else this cold in December?)

We were there in Jan., and it was freezing, too! However, we went a few years ago Dec. 27 - Jan 6 and it was 80 every day with no rain. It was beautiful! So this time of year is really unpredictable.

In 5 December trips, we've only had one that was really freezing. (our honeymoon in '93!) We were there in early December of 2003, and it was cooler than some of our other trips, but not that bad. I think we wore jeans and long sleeved shirts most days. We've had at least 2 December trips where we wore shorts and t-shirts every day. Weather really is unpredictible at that time of year! I'm hoping for another warm December this year!

The temps can be anywhere from 30 to 80 - quite a wild range

The average shows as 72 for the high and 51 for the low - record high 85, record low 20 (yikes!)

Hello all;

In 1989, my husband and I went to wdw in december for Christmas and when we arrived it was 78. He said he would go in the pool tomorrow. I woke up next morning snow everywhere
. We rented a convertible car and had to have the top up the whole week. He thought I was joking and I said look outside.

The whole week was in the mid 30's and snowing most of it.

We went Disney two years ago from Dec. 27-Jan. 1 and the temperatures were in the 70's and 80's. It was cool in the morning but it got pretty warm by mid-morning. My mother lives in Tampa and from what she has told me, this particular winter was a lot cooler than she is used to. Unfortunately, from what I understand it is hard to predict the weather down there in the middle of the winter.

I was there this past Dec 27th until Jan 3rd and I thought the weather was nice. If I remember correctly it was in the 70's most of the time. Of course compared to the Northeast, I thought it was heavenly

wow that worries me. We are going the 1st week in december. I knew it would be cooler but snow! YIKES! Even winter jacket cold is a bit crazy!

I'm worried too! This will be our first trip in December so I didn't know the weather was so unpredictable! I am going in the first week of December too! This will be my eleventh trip altogether and I'm excited to finally be going to see the decorations!
