Is Hollywood & Vine dinner really THAT bad?

DH loves it while I didn't. I have a touchy stomach and the food didn't agree with me. The day we were there the rolls (my fav part!) were rock hard. Could have been a fluke though. I am sure I will try it again someday though. :santa:

We ate here when they first came out with Fantasmic Dinner Plan and didn't care for it at all. To me it tasted like they put wine in everything. The night we went Fantasmic was cancelled due to rain, when we got back to WL we went to WCC to eat. Everyone was starved because we just didn't care for the selections here. I must say CP is 5 star compared to here. But everyone has different tastes.

they had good pot roast and the kids mac and cheese was good. they had some 'fancy' foods on the cold section. I was thinking wow this buffet is big, but then it was just the same food repeated. The desserts were good though, overall it was good, but i wouldnt go there again since we love 50s and sci-fi too much.

We had dinner there last week. Service was attentive. Food was good....nothing great, but certainly edible. I pigged out on the peel and eat shrimp. My DH is allergic to crustaceans, so anytime I can have a treat like that is good. Is it somewhere we'll race back to on our next trip.....probably not. All in all, it was OK, but not up to the standard of some of the other restaurants we went to. ::MinnieMo

Thanks everyone!

It sounds like we would like H & V better than Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic package. I really do think we would be very disappointed with Mama Melrose, and I am not too thrilled with their menu choices. I wish they would allow 50s Prime Time for the package, as we really want to try that one. Oh well...we will be spending 2 days at DHS when we go to WDW next so I guess we will try 50s Prime Time on the second day we are there, for dinner.

Thanks again for the advice...keep it coming!
