Is Hollywood and Vine really THAT bad?

If you are wanting to try it it is a lot of fun with the characters, but a rather average experience at best with the food quality. I was dragged into this place twice because of others in our party who were first-timers and wanted to try this place. The first time was the first year for Minnies Seasonal Dinner; as I said, the characters were fun the food was average at best. The second time the food was hot and it was plentiful, but that doesn't mean it was good. The food was typical buffet food that was right on par with any Golden Corral across the country and what I would call subpar. But then I'm just not a fan of buffet food. I prefer quality over quantity and rarely can a buffet deliver both. JMO.

Minnies Seasonal Dine was our multigenerational trips overall favorite on our 11/17 trip. We'd go again!

We went for breakfast at 10 am I think - so it was slowing down. I did a lot of character meals for my DD2, and this was no exception. I enjoyed it, though probably more because it was not a peak time. It was great for Disney Jr. (and Sofia the First), typical buffet breakfast food but great character interaction. I enjoyed it far more than my 6 pm 1900 Park Fare dinner.

None of the food impressed me during our trip, but my focus was character buffets so I was not surprised.
