Is HDDR typically booked at 180+?

I wanted to do the 6:15 show of HDDR for our first night at Disney. I tried to book it at 6am this morning on my 180 date, and it showed no availability. Tried again for a couple nights later (180+2), still no availability. I clicked around on a bunch of different dates and could never find any availability for the 6:15 show, not even on a week night for 1 person. Do you think this is a glitch or is it just that full? The 4:00 and 8:30 shows both show availability for all 3 categories.

It usually does not book up THAT fast, at the 180 day mark. You are not the first person with this issue either. Something is weird, but it just very well might be. We have never had a problem booking HDDR at our 180 day mark, and we always do the 6:15 show either in the beginning of our trip or towards the end.

I would call. I had this happen to me for the Hollywood Brown Derby last year. The phone representative was easily able to make my reservation.

I tried this morning as well to book a 6:15 show on our 180+4 day and could not as well. We have gone the same week for the past 6 year and have never had a problem getting our time. I went back for the entire month of October and into September and 6:15 is not available on any date. A number of years ago for the month of October there were only 2 shows but that was only for one fall. I took the 4:00 show but I'm not really happy with that time. In another thread someone e-mailed WDW and they just said to keep trying. I know there is a fellow Diser that is very knowledgeable about Disney Dining and the HDD. Hopefully he will come along soon and let us know if something is changing.

If it is the week of certain conferences, they book up some shows entirely for the conference, I think. Or use the facility.

That is strange. We went to the late show in February and it was less than half full I wonder if they are going to drop show.

By any chance have you called the dining reservation number try and book? At our 180 day mark, I was able to book a reservation online, but unable to make any more, so I called dining reservations. I got everything I wanted at the time I wanted, one of which is the HDDR. Try calling. Good luck!

if they are cutting a show it is strange that they are cutting the most popular time. hoping I can book it for December. Maybe Rusty Scupper can provide some insight.

I had trouble when I was booking 180+10 days out too, I ended up calling and it was fine. She game me all my reservation numbers and I connected them on MDE.

There are that many people itching to do the hokey pokey? Don't get me wrong I love hddr...well except that giggling girl.

We go at the end of June and I noticed open reservations for a couple weeks after my 180 mark. I know the 6:15 time goes faster. Right now we are at 60 days out and there are still 4:00 and 8:30 reservations available.

I had to call this year for my ADR in August. The past five years I did not have trouble getting HDDR, but for some reason this year I had to call Disney Dining. Good luck! It's the best show hands down

HDDR booking that fast would likely only be an issue for bookings during Free Dining or at Christmas. I've gone at different times of the year, and never had an issue getting the bookings I wanted, even only a couple of months in advance.

If they were getting rid of a show, it wouldn't be the 6:15 as that's the most popular time.

As a guess, I would say the problem is either a glitch or large group reservations from a conference. I know the huge Gartner Symposium is Oct 16-20 this year.

Today was our ADR day & I have been watching the 6:15 HDDR ADR for weeks. It has been unavailable online since sometime in September. I think it's a glitch. I talked to a nice CM and she could not find a reason in her system and told me to keep trying
