Is having a Club33 membership the only way to get free Fastpasses

If you pay for a Club 33 membership and a certain number of Fastpasses are included with your membership level, the Fastpasses are anything but free. I'm not sure they even do this any longer, but they may. As far as other ways, CM's have/had discretion to give out open fastpasses (we've got them for just being nicely dressed on Dapper day and the CM liked us). Others are when attractions break down, you may get a complimentary FP. Regardless, FP are free as it is, once you've paid for park admission.

Or is there another way? Thanks!
I don't think I would consider Club 33 membership to get "Free Fastpasses" as the membership is $15K per year, and it is a perk included in the membership. Add to it, the number per day is limited.

If you stay on property, they often run deals which include a few FP as part of the stay. (Again, they are not free, you pay a proce for the room...)

This is what I know... Platinum club 33 members get 6 FP per visit, and that appears to be per guest as well... as well as all the other benefits... I spoke with a guy last night, during the candlelight processional about it.. He showed his screen to me.... He was a guest of a member...

But you do realize you don’t need this membership to get FP. They are free to anyone with a park ticket. If you’re planning to join Club 33 anyway it’s a nice perk but it’s certainly not the only way to get ‘free’ FP. Did the CM also tell you what the membership fee is? Those are expensive FP!

I don't think OP is referring to regular Fastpases. There are some available that allow you to walk on any ride at any time vs traditional ones you pull for a specific ride and are subject to time windows and limitations.

I have a friend that just booked a "Holiday Package" at the DLH and they are each getting 6 anytime Fastpasses with their package. I have also had friends that have received them in various DVC promotions.

The guy you spoke with was incorrect in his information. Yes, platinum members get FPs, they do not get 6 and they do not get 6 per guest. He may have been a guest of a member, but he was giving incorrect information. And they are not free (if you do not pay your membership on time, you do not get them!) BUT, they are immediate use FPs. And you don't have to go to the machine to get them.

That makes more sense. Still pretty expensive if you’re doing it just for the just for the FP!! Even anytime ones!

I mean that's only $41/day for anytime use FP..... after you pay the $25k non-refundable initiation fee. Those are some EXPENSIVE fastpasses if that's all you are getting a membership for. ;)

We got a stack of anytime FP from the check in person at the Grand Californian. She just liked us, she was awesome. We didn't ask for anything. We were just talking during the check in process. Sometimes magical things happen at Disney. She handed us passes as she handed us our room keys.

The anytime FPs seem to be kind of a nice extra bit of magic that are spread around randomly. We were given some when we had a minor glitch with our accommodations at the GCH. And as was mentioned, sometimes they are part of hotel special packages. I've never heard of any hard and fast way to get them, other than C33.

Good question, though, OP. Maybe we'll learn something new here!

We spent $10 per person per day for MaxPass last month, and used it to get more than 6 top-tier FPs per day. We rode everything we wanted to ride that weekend. A much better deal than paying for Club33 imo.

Correct, the “multiple experience” (I think Disney calls them) is what I was talking about...

Thank you :)

I have only been able to get 1 FP using max pass so far... I am glad it’s included with my AP! I would love to get to the park at like 5pm, ride 6 rides, and leave... would save so much time! Lol

Our past check-in's at the GCH only took a few minutes.

At the GCH check-in for our October 2017 trip, we had two room standard room reservations.
No special requests.... Three people and two rooms.... (one quiet room and one snoring room)
The CM would do something on the computer then go into the back supervisors area over and over.
I have no idea what the problem was.
It literally took the CM an HOUR to get us checked in. My DGD-20 kept asking what was taking so long.

The only thing I got was a HEADACHE! a FP for each of us would have been nice.

Geemo

I believe $15K is the annual dues/fees. I'm told that initiation is something like an additional $50K.

My wife and I went and listened to the Disney Vacation Club sales pitch a few years ago and we both got 3 fast passes for our time.
