Is Halloween night different than the other days in October on the Fantasy?

So we have taken two cruises on the Fantasy during the month of October. Just got off the Fantasy today. We were thinking of booking a cruise next year the week of Halloween. Do they do anything different and special or is it the same stuff the whole month? It will be hard to talk our son into missing trick or treating at home.

We sailed over Halloween a couple years ago. There were carved pumpkins all over Cabanas on Halloween and candy at a table in all the dining rooms (breakfast, lunch, and dinner candy!). But other than that, it was really the same as the other Halloween cruise we did the next year. But that second cruise my kids made me PROMISE not to book it over actual Halloween. They so missed trick or treating at home. We did trick or treat with some people from our FE group on the second cruise, so they were more than happy with the cruise. It was the best of both worlds.

Well that's disappointing to hear. We were hoping get they would have more of a party and tricks or treating experience for the kids so he doesn't feel like he won't be missing halloween at home

I'll be honest--the trick or treating we had on the Wonder (there was NO trick or treating, even on actual Halloween a couple of years ago on the Dream!) was pretty lame. And crowded! Sooo crowded in that tiny atrium. My kids just really enjoy going out trick or treating with their cousins as a whole experience. Being on the cruise for actual Halloween just didn't do it for them. But like I said, they enjoyed the cruise the year we did it AND had Halloween at home

I heard the trick or treating wasn't great, but we have a group thats doing our own thing with about 100 kids on the Halloween cruise this year. Joining a group seems worth it to me
