We have tickets to MNSSHP on Oct 31st (Mon, and halloween night) will it be really really packed in the park, and will we be able to get on rides etc. Was it worth getting tickets to it???? Anyone who has been before on Halloween night please let me know what it was like. Thanks!! :sunny:

We were at MNSSHP Last Year on Halloween and we had a BALL!! Honestly, it did not seem packed at all except when it came to taking the family photo- that line was alittle long but worth it for the picture. You will have a great time so dont be discouraged and if you have bigger kids or are just an older group it will be great because the later it got fewer people were in the park!!

Just don't stand in those God-awful candy lines and you will be fine. It is going to be busy, but the worst lines at any MNSSHP I have ever seen are those candy lines to get a little mini-tootsie pop or other small candy you can buy by the bagful for $2 at the store.

Good luck! The parties are very magical! Don't forget to listen to the ghost stories in Liberty Square - the guy who does them is fantastic, and I usually don't go for such things.

I've gone Halloween night twice now, last year and in 2002. It will be very crowded. But it also depends on where you are in the park and what you are trying to do and when.

The streets will be packed. The trick or treat lines will seem long but they go fast and my girls LOVED trick or treating so we did alot of it. The photo lines can be long so my suggestion is to get it over with ASAP over in Frontierland or Adventureland as it doesn't get busy there right away.

We got a spot for the first parade about 1/2 hour before it near LTT and it didn't seem bad but Main street will be crazy. People line up for the parade at the beginning of the party.

SOme rides will be packed, like Fantasyland but others won't be as bad. It all depends on when you hit the ride too; what time of night.

The parade and fireworks are great; don't miss them.

Some of the character lines can be LONG, especially near Main Street and Fantasyland but we saw some great character on the walkway between Toontown and Tomorrowland and it wasn't crowded. Same in Frontierland and Adventureland.

But if you go knowing its crowded, and having a plan of attack, its very manageable. We had a GREAT time both times on Halloween.

We were there in 2001 and will be again in 2005. I enjoyed the MNSSHP 10 times better than the MVMCP. It is great! They key to the crowds is to get there around 4:00 - 4:30 (they will let you in with just the ticket for the party) and ride the rides then. Especially when they shuffle everyone to Tomorrowland/Fantasyland. We rode PPF 3 times!

It is definately worth it. See you there! I will be Cruella!

We were there last year, and probably made the mistake of choosing this to be our first time at MK. We thought it was very crowded, however, we walked on all the rides. We all dressed up, but went with the attitude that we wanted to do all rides possible, since we had never been there before. We walked on BTMRR 3 times in a row. The only thing we waited for was SM, and that was about 10 minutes. We trick or treated as we wanted and as we left for the night there were CM's by the park entrance giving out huge handfuls of candy.

My only advice- don't make this your first MK experience- we really rushed thru all the halloween events in order to do rides and probably missed half the fun!

We may have to switch dates, which would put us choosing between going on Sunday, October 30 or going on Halloween.

The UG says crowds of 6 on Sunday, 4 on Monday. Obviously that doesn't really apply to MNSSHP, but it is good to know.

I wonder if more locals will go on Sunday? Seems to me that it would be easier to go on Sunday than Monday if you are going to keep your kids up late. Others have also said Sunday might be more popular due to the increased charge to attend on Halloween.

With all of that taken into consideration I think we may end up going on Halloween if we are at WDW that week. It sounds like fun, and we can be flexible about rides and things since that will be the very beginning of our trip.

It's really about perception. You are going to get just as many people to say it isn't so bad as you will to say it's awfully crowded. I went on Halloween night in 2003. I thought it was hard to get around. The walk-ways were really crowded. The rides on the other hands were walk-on to 5 minut waits. The photo and candy lines we found to be ridiculously long as were the crowds near the special Halloween attractions. It is a great event, I prefer the one's earlier in the month thought that are less crowded.
