we are heading back to USO for a trip in early May for the weekend. Is Hagrids still running the Virtual queue website on weekends?

Don't think the VL has happened since sometime last year - fall, I think - definitely wasn't in effect when we were there at Christmas.

I thought we would see it over Spring Break, but we didn’t. SR took 30 minutes around 4:30 one evening and another day we got in line when it said 60 minutes and it took 35 minutes (also late afternoon). The early entry line was crazy long. Our trip 3/23-3/29.

Nope. Get to the gates 45 minutes - 1 hour before early entry or try your luck right before park close (sometimes they have been closing the queue an hour before park close). Folks who get to the parks right at the start of Early Entry immediately face a 2 hour wait.

Interesting. I am going to Universal in about 3 weeks and I am not staying on site so I was thinking of hopping into the queue before the park closes. How often do they close the queue early, if anyone here knows?

I don't know how often they do it, but we were only able to get in right before park close on Saturday, and every day after that they seemed to either be closing it at 9 or the ride went down before then. Might have been because it was such a busy week leading up to Easter or maybe the ride was having issues. They posted signs in the evenings letting people know they were closing it early, and you could also see it switch over to closed on the app.

We were there last week. Got into line about 8:15 at night when park closed at 10:00. There was a sign that said ride would be closing early. My daughter set a stopwatch and we were in line for 1 hour, 50 minutes. By the time we got off, park was closed but I could tell there were still lots of people behind us. I would plan to get in line at least an hour before park closes because I doubt they want to run it for 1-1.5 hours after closing to finish the line.

That's incorrect - I've popped into the UO app multiple times today and no VL for Hargid's at anytime today. TP had a glitch where it was showing VL a while back when it wasn't actually being used - presumably that 's the issue.

We were there 2 weeks ago and there was no virtual line. It was 1 line. Get there early and the wait isn't bad. Get there late, and its 90 minutes+.

Darn. Sorry for the misinformation. I’m disappointed that i can’t trust Touring Plans as I plan my own trip.

Since they haven't used it in several months - not even throough the very busy holiday season & spring break crowds - it's pretty unlikely that it will happen, but that's where it'll be show if they do start it up again.

FYI: the single rider usually runs half the time of the regular queue.
