Is Grand Floridian expansion affect Poly experience?

We are checking into the poly next month and I just realized the DVC GF expansion is going on right next door.

We liked walking from the poly to the GF. Is that still possible?

Where do they show movies now? It looks like they re building where they showled movies.

Is there still access to the gym?

You may be able to walk from Poly to GF still, but your route may be slightly altered.

Not sure about the movies.

The Spa and Health Club (gym) between Poly and GF is closed for a total of 18 months, not sure the reopening date.

Hope this helps until a more knowledgeable DISer can.

The walkway is still open but slightly moved at the Wedding Chapel. They have done a great job with the altered walkway. Very nice walk, and very well lit at night.

The Poly has movies that are shown on the main beach near the volcano pool.

They will provide comp transportation to the Spa at Saratog Springs.

Aww switched to yacht club today. Was worried about construction and it just seems too much to spend to not have a gym and possible pool refurbishment.

I'm sure it's still wonderful.

I thought that the GF gym was going to stay open even though the spa was closed. No trip planned till 2013, but just wondering.

Honestly the only people I feel affected by the construction (at this stage at least) are people getting married at the wedding chapel. Their gorgeous views now contains an infamous tarp. Personally, I think I'd be looking to relocate my wedding....
