So, today was our 180 day mark (our vacation starts on May 3rd). I called this morning to get Chef Mickey's on May 8th-- that's 180+5 days, right? I called at 8am est. I wanted a 6pm ADR, and she could only do 5:40 or 6:35. We chose 5:40-- I'm not complaining at all b/c that time is still fine for us, but I couldn't believe that the times between 5:45 and 6:30 were already all booked up! When the new system opens, and I can make the rest of my ADR's, I won't be waiting until 8am est to call-- I'll be on the phone at 7 (which is 6am our time)! Boy, do I feel bad for you west-coasters who have to wake up REALLY early to get ADR's!! I had heard it was crazy to get ADR's, but I didn't know it was this crazy!! We really want Le Cellier for dinner one night on our trip, I sure hope we get it.

Yes, it really is that crazy! That is one of the reasons I love to use Dreams Unlimited for my vacations, they will make your ADRs for you!:goodvibes

I would call as soon as you can for Le Ceiller. It is one of the hardest dinners to snag at Disney World. But it is very good and worth the trouble. :)

Chef Mickey's is a popular location and the time frame you mentioned is a very popular dinner time. Also remember that if Chef Mickey's has, say, 100 tables, there aren't going to be 100 seatings for 6:00 (or whatever time). And then add in the different number of people in the parties (which really determines how many tables are available), and you have one complicated dining reservation system.

Funny you mention this. We are also arriving on May 3rd and I called today to make a reservation for Chef Mickey's for our arrival day. We, too, wanted 6:00 and could only get 5:40 or 6:45. I also picked 5:40. That time is fine with us, but I was thinking the same thing - are all the other times between 5:45 and 6:40 already booked?!?!
