Is getting a room at Comfort Suites as easy as it sounds?

I think this is what we want to do on our Nassau day. Isn't that the Monday of a 4-day Wonder cruise?

The website clearly says that you get access to Atlantis. But did you guys call and make a one-day reservation? Do they resent it at all when you say you're only doing it for Atlantis? Or do you even tell them? ;)

I booked our cruise thru DU. Could they book this day-room for us?

I know I sound stupid, but it just seems TOO easy to get access to the Atlantis water park.

With a DD10 and DS9, sightseeing and/or shopping won't be real popular. And we're gonna parasail on CC. I have no idea when we'll get back to the Bahamas; there's so many good places to go. Daddy would like to go the Rockies, or maybe Alaska. Oh well, there's always retirement.

Thanks for any advice.

Many people have had success doing this, but we did not. We arrived in Nassau via the Wonder in January and went to the Comfort Suite and asked for a day room and was told very rudely that they did not do day rooms...we could pay the nightly rate of $269 but we would need two rooms for our family of 5.....so we said forget it!! Maybe it depends on who you speak to at the front desk....our lady was very rude.

We did the Comfort Suites when we were there in February. I booked the room in advance though. They knew that we were coming on the cruise boat and that our main reason was for the access to Atlantis. We had no problems at all.

We did this on our New Years cruise 2 yrs ago. It worked out well, but we did book a few months in advance.

We took a taxi from the dock to Comfort Suites, checked in, walked across the street to the Atlantis, passed through the lobby and outside to the pool area. Then we needed to show our room receipt at one of the towel stands in order to get everyone a bracelet, which allowed to use all of their facilities.

We had a great time there enjoying all of the water slides and some of us snorkeled at an additional fee. The Atlantis is definitely worth seeing. I think we paid over $350 for the room at Comfort Suites, since it was peak time. You can get a room cheaper other times of the year.

I too experienced confusion when trying to get info about booking a "day room" for cruise in Dec.

I called Choice Hotels' 800 number, they were clueless but offered a AAA rate for 1 night for standard room. I then e-mailed the hotel directly. They responded with a much higher rate for the same room (nearly $100 more).

I then called the hotel directly to inquire...they said I wouldn't be guaranteed the room on Thursday until after 3:00 p.m. I explained that I only wanted the wrist bands and somewhere secure to place our belongings while we swam @ Atlantis, then facilities to shower & change. They said I'd need to book for 2 nights in that case (Wednesday & Thursday)? Not exactly accommodating  .

Comfort Suites does not do DAY rooms, but I was able to secure a room a couple of months in advance for one night for $120 for a family of 4. I figured it was worth it because it came out the same as $30 admission fee would have been and would have gladly paid that! Plus, we had a full size bathroom to shower, wash hair, etc. in. It was worth it for us.
