Is FOLA access helpful - 1st week December?

We are going to orlando after Thanksgiving and spending most of our days at Disney with one day at Universal. We have 5 people (kidsuite at Holiday Inn), so we would require 2 rooms at the Hard Rock (for just 1 night) which will cost us more $$. I don't mind paying for just one night, but if the lines aren't even long during the first week in December, I don't want to have to switch hotels AND waste the money (ok, not a total waste - the hotel is nice and it is closer, but...). Any feedback about whether or not FOLA is needed the first week in December would b e appreciated. TIA!

I was there the first week of Dec. last year and did not need the fotl access. The only wait we had was about 15 minutes for Hulk
