Is February a good time to go to Disneyworld? I already have a trip planned in October...a girl's trip with some friends from work. I want to take my daughter and grandkids and we were thinking about going towards the end of February. Also, what is the weather like during that time? Thanks in advance!

someone else can answer your specifics. all i can say, is anytime is a great time to go!!!

You said you want to go in late Feb. Keep in mind that value season ends in mid Feb, so you'd have to check in before that date to get the significantly lower resort rates.

We've gone in Feb twice and had incredible weather. I'm sure this is a jinx to myself, but we've never experienced a drop of rain in our 10 days at WDW. Temps in the 70s (but it can be cooler at times), no hurricane threat, low rainy season. Presidents Day (and the days surrounding it) draw larger crowds, but for the most part, Feb is a 3 or 4 on the Unofficial Guide's scale.

February is a great time to come down. The weather can be cool during the day but usually in the upper 60's to lower 70's. Night time get COOL since it's still winter after all. You might want to check the Weather Channel or something to find out the average hi/low for that period. Just make sure to bring pants and a jacket down in case the temps dip down. I don't remember the weather being really nasty in February though. :sunny:

I was there Feb 25-March 7 and it was great. The crowds really weren't bad the weather for the most part was in the 70's with only two days of real rain.

I have always gone in February and love it.

Feb 1996 - mostly sunny with a couple of overcast days with light rain.

Feb 1998 - quite sunny but quite a few rainy days and a tornado hit
Orlando

Feb 2000 - very warm, with no rainy days.

Ideally I would go every year in Feb, due to the kids' school commitments have had to go in July this year.

Can't comment on the weather but my dad lives near Orlando and it ranges from warm to cold in February. Just to let you know that NH school vacations are the end of February and Massachusetts' vacations are the week before ours.

We've taken several trips in February. Generally, the weather has been good except this past Feb (1st week), it was quite cold! One year though, temps were close to 90! You just never know.

Crowd levels are great, except for Presidents/Daytona week (very crowded!).

Enjoy!

when we go in Feb, its been the first two weeks. It is not that croweded, still value season in pricing, and the weather has usually been nice, cooler at night and first thing in the am but nice and sunny during the day. If it rains, it was briefly.... but never enough to ruin our day. If going during the "winter" agian, this is when we would do it.

We only went one year in February, and I guess we were unlucky--it was freezing cold--so cold that we really didn't enjoy the trip. That time of year, you're taking a chance with the weather, even in Florida.

We wouldn't go at that time again--by waiting six weeks, you get a sure thing with the weather!

We were there Feb. 6-18 this year. We only had one morning with rain, and even that didn't last long. Crystal clear blue skies for the most part! :cloud9: We had several days that we wore shorts and tshirts, and then some days that were quite chilly and we were in jeans and sweatshirts/jackets. The crowds were fine, but they definitely increased as we got closed to President's Day weekend. I would never want to go during that time!!

Thanks everyone for all your comments! It sounds like maybe the first two weeks of February might be the best time to go. We can still get in on the value season and the crowds would still be manageable. As far as the weather, guess we will just have to go prepared for both warm and cold days.

We took our honey moon in Feb to WDW and had a fantastic time.
Little to no ride waits , few crowds, and the only thing closed for refurbishment was Typhoon Lagoon. The hotel pools and Blizzard Beach were both open and the water was just fine. The only drawback we saw was at the Value Resorts , there was some kind of cheerleading competition going on at MGM so the ASMu was overpopulated with hordes of preteens chanting and carrying pom poms
