Is Fantasmic ALWAYS full in early May???

Has anyone walked in 15-30min or so ahead of time and got a seat. We are a family of 3. Not sure if our dd (age 3) will even like it so I don't care whether we get in or not. It isn't a MUST see for now and I don't wantt the package. We leave next week and plan MGM on May 1st. Just wondering if others got lucky this time of the year??

Also do they show it twice on Night Extra Magic Hours?

we have walked in about 40 min before hand in May..
never tried it any later as we enjoy the ambience beforehand!

we were there in April, and it was full- but they had two whole sections closed off! I didn't see what the purpose of this was, since a lot of ppl were standing outside waiting to see it. We got there an hour early and were glad we did!

Everyone is saying to expect large crowds next week. You should get to the line early (or at least walk by to check out the line) to make sure you will be able to get in. Let's hope it's not as busy as the say though!
