heading down in 2 weeks and on our first Saturday MK has extra hours event from 10-1. I know park is almost empty but is it worth the $119 price tag? I am going with my wife, Mom, son and daughter but only my daughter and I would be up for it. Is it worth that hefty of a price tag?

Depends who you ask. A lot of people do it and love it. Having a near empty park and riding a bunch of rides. Then a lot of people on the other hand would never do it. I personally wouldn't pay that much to do it, but others love it and would do it again.

If you're fine spending the money on it and want to ride a bunch at night, then you'll like enjoy it and find it worth it

Would cost my family over $700 for one night. That would be a poor use of my resources and would never spend that much for any entertainment.

We loved it and would do it again but we purchased the event instead of a one day ticket so it made sense for us. I wouldn't do it if you already bought park tickets that include that day.

I can't see it, but it is a personal decision. Charging a whole day's price for 3 hours is getting to be so Disney.

Yes! 100% if not for any reason other than the lack of crowds! We just did it a couple weeks ago with my 13 yr old daughter and her best friend and it was the most relaxed visit we have ever had to the MK.

It takes a little bit for crowds to disburse but we had so much fun and did everything we set out to do. I wouldn’t do it only for multiple rides on mine train though. I’m sure it may depend on the night or time of year, but the night we went the line for Mine Train never dropped under 20 min the whole night, which is good for mine train but when you have 3 hours for the event it can eat up your night. But everything else is a walk on!

One should consider that in those 3 hours you can do more than one can typically get done in an entire day at MK that is open to all. So you say "so Disney" and others say "a smart investment" to pay the same to get more done, get snacks for free and get it all done out of the heat. It's all about perspective. Everyone's is different, neither wrong for all, neither right for all

It’s worth noting on the “three hours” topic that official entry with a DAH ticket is 7pm (regardless of the actual DAH event time) which in current practice has been really more like 6pm.

So with a 10pm-1am event, for example, you officially “get” 6 hours of MK time, 7 if you count 6pm.

Granted some DAH events aren’t that late so you may have less total MK time. But point being, if one wants to take advantage of the early entry time, the ticket does get you more than just 3 hours.

Still not worth it for many people, but those that attend seem to really enjoy it.

We did it when it first launched, and you could get in in time to ride a few things and watch the fireworks before it started. We bought that instead of park tickets for that day. Definitely worth it for us.

We did it Saturday night and really enjoyed it. We are AP holders and got a discount of $89 per ticket.

I wouldn't pay $119 for it, but we're APs so $89 is more palatable.
We did MVMCP a couple of years ago. We too are AP. My thoughts:

1) It is a lot of money for a few hours and some free cookies and drinks
2) When we did the event, we were meeting up with people that were only doing the event, and not purchasing a ticket for the day.
3) For that event, I believe you could get in at 4:00 PM, and the park was the open until midnight (basically 8 hours vs. 6)
4) Since we're an AP, this was really my only ticket cost for that trip, and it was just my wife and I.

No having said that, last week, we arrived at MK at 8:30 PM, and my kids and our friends kids ran around and were able to ride 5 big rides in 90 minutes until closing. The only FP was 7DMT at the start. My point being there are times that you can run around and not wait on lines and not pay for an extra event.

Having said all of that, my vote, you have to try it once to see if it is worth it for you or not.
