Is express pass valid on check out date?

Since I'm only staying one day, I obviously can't enjoy early entry, as check-in is at 4pm (even if I get there early).

I'm staying at the Hard Rock and this is the first time in forever, so I have to ask, would express pass also be valid on the check out date? I mean, obviously not all day, but maybe up until check out time? Probably a stupid question, but I wanted to ask.

Also, if I'm a Hard Rock Rewards member, when I check in, can I let them know I am one so I can get points on my membership?

Yes
You will have ep privilege on check out day
Also EE ...

Last time I stayed at hrh I did get hotel points on my all access hr card

It's been some years so check the member site to verify for updates

Last time I checked when I first updated my membership a couple of months ago (since it been years for me) it said on the website there was a certain place you can check-in, so if anything I might just go up there, and ask, but I heard that they're already changing the membership again, so I need to find out if they're changing it again, or I've already got the new membership. Either way, I'm sure they can help.

Also, thanks for letting me know about EE and EP on check-out date. That's definitely a plus and makes me thrilled!

You are very welcome

The hrc program changed 3 times since I joined this all access program back in 2002

Yeah, I think I joined in 2005. They were like, "yeah, we've had a few changes over the years," so I had to get a new membership completely. So, I hope that I got the newest one and that mine doesn't change again in May, or June. I think that was when they said everyone's was changing. Either way, I was more concerned over EE and EP more than anything. I'm so excited. It's been awhile since I've stayed at the Hard Rock and I love it.

I don't know how early you are getting into Orlando, but you can store your luggage with Bell Services at the hotel & enjoy the park (EE, EP,all of it) even before your room is ready! And like mac says, on check out day, you still have EP til the parks close :)

Of course you can.

Don't expect the room to be ready at 4, but you can check in from around 6am on, and enjoy all the benefits of being an onsite deluxe hotel guest from then until midnight of checkout day.

So get there early, do the checkin process and stash your bags, get your express pass and run on over to the early entrance park. Enjoy Express Pass all day. Next morning, you have early entrance again, and Express Pass until the parks close or midnight, whichever comes first.

(this is assuming you have a 2 day ticket and hoping you have a park to park ticket.)

This is all great news! Thank you guys! I didn't think I would be able to enjoy EE, or EP the whole day since "official" check-in would be much later. And don't worry @bumbershoot I'm an annual passholder.

I was kind of planning on coming early and everything anyway, @Kivara, I just didn't expect that I'd be able to actually take advantage of EE, or EP until the room would be ready at 4, but it's nice to know you can take advantage of all the benefits even if you're not officially in a room yet and get to even enjoy it on the day you check out completely.

To be honest, I'm a little disappointed with it now, as they just recently changed all the benefits. They now have it so you receive an award after so many visits to Hard Rock Cafe's and Shops, where as before it was based on how many points you earn. However, it being based off of visits, it might actually be more money saving, as it's by visit and you do not have to necessarily spend hundreds of dollars to earn enough points to get a $15 off card. Where as you might be able to just get something small each time you visit and still earn a reward. It doesn't give many details on what kind of rewards you can receive with the change, but I guess I'll see.

The big thing is, what I am really disappointed with is that they have it so after you earn so many points (but only through Hard Rock Hotels) you get a free night. Which is amazing if you go to HRH all the time, but for Orlando, it has to be 30,000 points to earn a free night, which means you essentially have to spend $3,000 to earn it (as $1 equals to 10 points). And while I'm going to HRH this weekend, I do not plan, nor think I would go that frequently. So, another downside is, they disappear after 24 months, so if you even try and not quite there yet, those points will disappear if you do not use them within 24 months.

But like I said, with each visit it might be more of a money saver and better way to earn rewards for cafe's and shops, but as for the dream of getting a free hotel room and earning points for the HRH? It seems impossible unless you literally go all the time and have the money to spend.

If you want even more details you can look it up and see if it's something for you.

It's been only credit based on hrh and hrc purchases for a long time

I quit their program as it wasn't worth it to me anymore
I used to buy a lot of things in the rock shop and at Orlando hrc shop
The card was good for the times I used it

On this note, we'll only be spending one night at HRH as well. I've already read that we can check in really early. Do the EP and EE count on check-in day as well? And is there somewhere we could leave our bag (after check out) while we enjoy the second day at the park?

I just went on my trip that I was originally discussing in this post and you can use your EP and EE on your check in day. After you check in they will direct you to the kiosk that had the EP. You put your hotel key in, it takes your picture, and an EP comes out. To get EE just show your hotel key. Also, they should let you know which park had EE. As for check out day, we grabbed our stuff and put it in our vehicle on our way to the park to get it out of the way. They will hold your luggage on check in day (even if your room is not ready), but I don't know about check out. I doubt it, but you can ask.

Thanks for the quick response. So at least check in will be fairly easy :)
We're not actually renting a car, so won't have a vehicle at hand. Price of rental, fuel & parking comes much higher than getting a taxi twice...

Perhaps if you describe your situation of checking out, but the fact that you're using transportation instead of having your own vehicle, but still want to enjoy the park, they might understand and let you leave your baggage in the area where they normally keep the baggage of other guests that are checking in. Like I said, I do not know their policy, but the fact that you have a more unique situation in the fact you do not have a vehicle on their premises, but still want to enjoy the park, I would hope they would accommodate for you.

If anything, you can call before you go and describe the situation and see what they say.

Yes the hotel bell service will hold your luggage in check out day

On my last day I check out and check my luggage with bell services/valet in the hotel
I return to the parks and around 5 that
day, return to get my luggage

I use evening flights so my last day is a park day

This is basic policy for all the hotels
Pick up your belongings before midnight on your check out day

Bell Services will absolutely hold your bags on checkout day. They are a proper hotel, and proper hotels do that for their guests.

I'm getting into the nitty gritty of planning now - and my panic mode has kicked in :D
