appropriate for children? Our DD is a night-owl, and we will be looking for things to do in the evenings. Even though we are flying three times zones back from our norm, she will still probably be up until about 11. (Didn't I mention she is a serious, hard-core late-night owl?)

I read in another thread that ESPN has games. Is there anything at all appropriate about the place for an almost-5yo? What else can we do after the park closes at 8? (We leave NY in two weeks and will be at Disney starting the 25th.)

What hotel are you staying at? There is also the AMC theatre right there in DTD, how about a movie?

I don't know about ESPN Zone since I haven't been before, sorry.

I don't think ESPN Zone would be fun for a 5 year old. Besides being a restuarant, they have arcade games upstairs. My DD7 played a few of the games, but not much. I think more for your DD would be Build A Bear or Libby Lu. They also have a Lego store and Rainforest Cafe. They sometimes have some live entertainment just between the movie theater and ESPN Zone.

I think she'll like it. We have eaten there multiple times on our trips and both of our girls have a great time there. My 3 year old spent a lot of time playing the games upstairs with her dad. And their kids meals are great!

We love ESPN zone. DH is a huge sports junkie, so he spends some time there. And DS 1.5 yo loves "playing" the games. The food is good and service fast. My DH stays up very late, so he'll spend time there while we all fall asleep back at the hotel.

Okay- sounds like we will give it a try. If she doesn't like it, we can just walk back to our room. (And we are staying at the *GASP* Motel 6. We had planned a Florida trip to visit relatives, and then Nana passed away, so we switched to visiting the LA relatives. DLR is SO much more expensive than WDW to stay at!)

DH has every intention of moving into the ESPN zone, I think. ;)

I should add that she is an arcade junkie (we go to Chuck E. Cheese's every few months) so she might be more likely to enjoy herself there than other kids who aren't into stomping spiders and whatnot.

The games are more like pinball, batting practice, canoe racing, fast pitch and so forth. The food has always been good and service quick. If you join the MVP club you get bonus points added to the game card and 72 hour ressie's.

Have fun,

Jack
