Is Electrical Parade Package at Wine Country Trattoria worth it?

If we can't get the Fantasmic Dessert Buffet, I am thinking of trying for this. I read in PassPorter that you "enjoy a meat and cheese appetizer tray and beverage" if you reserve "premier seating" for the Electrical Parade at Wine Country Trattoria.

The cost is $56/adults and $46/kids. Anyone done this before? What did you think? What was the "meat and cheese appetizer tray" like?

Thanks for any information! :goodvibes

in my opinion, NO.

its mainly because in Fantasmic, it is incredibly crowded. hence the desert places allows you space and something to eat. that way, you have a great view and no one will block you.

If you look at DEP, theres a lot of places where its just empty. You can practically sit on the bench and watch it there and even better view. All you need is to go buy or bring some lunchables with you and viola!

Thanks for your help! :)

I guess I will just have to hold out hope that we will be able to secure the dessert buffet. Are there any tips for reserving this? I remember reading somewhere a comprehensive step-by-step guide to reserving the Cinderella Breakfast at MK - is there anything like that for the dessert buffet?

Also, do you think the "premium seating" for Fantasmic is worth it if the Dessert Balcony is full?

Thanks again. :) :goodvibes

i would try vavcation planning. From what I understand, they get first dibs.

I agree with Albort - Probably the only time it might be worth it is one of those special DCA days. (Example the weekend the buy 1 get 1 free expires or the Red Carpet Day for POTC3 at DL). The rest of the time you'll have little or no problem getting a front row seat somewhere along the parade route. Only the main hub plaza gets crowded.

i have no idea. I only watch Fantasmic from my food carts. But i think its a great experiance. For me, im just a 20 year old college student, so i dont have the money to pay for it. In my opinion, i would rather watch the fireworks in the hub, then watch 10:30 Fantasmic by riverside.

But talking to someone who done it, they said its well worth it.

We've had the premium seating for Fantasmic twice, and enjoyed it both times. We'll try the balcony seating this summer, just for something different, but we were never disappointed with the river seating. (In fact, it might even be better, because it's a dessert buffer rather than boxed desserts = refills!)

To be honest, though, in both June and July visits, we were able to get very good viewing for the 10:30 Fantasmic making our way there from the Hub after the Fireworks. You have to be willing to plow through crowds and walk quickly, but it can be done. We usually go counter-clockwise around the Hub and then circle behind the castle and approach from the rear. Longer walk, fewer people.

IMHO I would not may the $ for the Electrical Parade package.

We tried to get the balcony Fantasmic on our last trip, with a AAA package, and the first hour of the first morning for reservations and couldn't get in any day for the 6 days we were there. Hard to believe that SOMEONE didn't get prefereantial treatment, but I know it's popular. We have always had a great time and seat for the second show by arriving just when the first show lets out. Not as long to wait that way. They have definitely made it much more difficult to hop from the hub for fireworks and still get a good seat for Fantasmic with the crowd control!
