I just read where Dudley Do-Right has been refirbished and has lost one of its "dips". Has anyone ridden it lately? Is it one of the smaller ones or the "drop"?

We rode it last year just after the long rehab. They took out the drop at the end that gave you a little air time. Everything else to me looked the same. I didn't notice a big difference, but I'm sure to the people that rode it often would notice.

One of my favorite things about that ride is the water guns on the bridge. You have to put money in them for them to work. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Some of the best entertainment in the park,

Thought I read somewhere that they were testing lapbars a few months ago?

anything ever come of that?

it's one of the few rides i get substantial air time on:rolleyes1

I save up quarters during the holiday for a last day IoA shoot'up. The ride is soooo because riders think they've escaped a drenching as they loop back under the bridge. Guns 5,6, & 7 give excellent in-your-face blasts. The family have developed a voting system on who "gets it".

Agreed, great fun.

I just rode it and if they changed it I didn't notice anything. It's still a GREAT ride!!!

But that was the best drop :confused3

The only thing that seemed different to me was they took out that hard bump-over at the top of the big hill at the end. Everything else seemed the same.
They still have the handrails running down the sides of the logs on the inside, but they also have handholds built into each seatback in front of you, and that is what they tell you to hold onto. I think holding these handholds versus the inside handrails gives you more airtime.

We are heading to Universal for the Third time in 2 weeks. The last two time have been in January; we always walk right on past Dudley Doright's. This time I can't wait to jump in line!!

Can you check on something please?

Screamscape indicates that the cars/boats are slowly being retrofitted with some sort of lap restraints...let us know if you see any.

Enjoy, say hi to bullwinkle for me:thumbsup2

There were no lap restraints when we went last week! Perhaps the retrofit is going SLLLOOOWWWW. :)

Our first few trips we walked right past the water rides. Then, this past December we decided to ride all of them. We usually don't care much for water rides, but I love the Dudley ride and the others. Last trip, we spent an entire afternoon riding them over and over. We had no idea what we were missing. I hope they do not add the lap restraint. The air time on the ride adds to the fun.

I hate airtime! It's all I can do to ride JP!!! When we last went to US/IOA in 2000, I think that Dudley Do-Right wasn't finished, anyway we didn't get to ride it. So since JP is more than enough of a drop for me and I HATE airtime, should I skip Dudley Do-Right? I'm such a chicken!!!
