junk food?

My kids eat vegetables, salads and prefer turkey sandwiches or soup over corndogs and fries. Plus DS7 is allergic to nuts and obviously PB &J.

Will or can WDW restaurants accomodate him?

Thanks

Go to allearsnet.com and check out the menus for the restaurants. TS should not be a problem most nights, as the selection is varied. If you choose a buffet TS (Beirgarten in Epcot, Hollywood and Vine in MGM...) then he can eat from the adult or the kid lines. My kids loved both of these. CS will be tougher, but I think there are places he can find things he will like. If worse comes to worse, and you do pay OOP for them for a few lunches, you still come out ahead. $11 for DDP is about the cost of the TS meal and snack at most places, so CS is basically free for them. BTW... last summer we had CMs offer us adult menu items in a smaller size for snack credits. My son ate fried cheesesticks at AK for lunch, and was charged for a snack.

You will need to select your CS restaurants based upon the kids meal menus. I've been doing that for years because I don't feed my kids chicken strips or french fries and I don't think they've had a hotdog in at least a year.

Epcot will be a great place for kids CS: we like the teriyaki chicken at the Yakitori House (I eat it too). Cosmic Rays at the MK has a chicken salad (chicken strips on dark leafy lettuce). My kids usually eat the chicken at Tusker House and we rarely eat anything at MGM.

CS menus have been changing a lot, so don't expect the same thing when you go as you're seeing right now.

For TS you will do best at buffets or at Signature Dining like Artist Point. When you call in the dining ask them to note the food allergies on the screen (there's a dropdown box for them to check). Disney does a great job allergies and dining.

You should be fine at most TS meals - it's the CS meals that will be hard. There have been some really good threads on here recently about where to find the best CS meals, so do a search for those. Personally I like Flame Tree and Tusker House in AK, Cosmic Rays in MK, and I've heard really good things about Sunshine Seasons at Epcot. I don't know how any of them are for the kids meals, though, so check the menus on allearsnet.com to be sure.
Resort CS food is tougher, because there isn't usually the variety.

We're planning to go without DDP for the first time in a few months, and a big reason is the CS meals. I'm getting an AP and will purchase the DDE card so that we'll get 20% off the total bill at most TS meals, and we're planning to skip CS altogether. For us (2 adults, 1 child) getting 2 TS meals with DDE works out costing about the same as DDP and I think we'll be happier with the meal options. And that's without even figuring in possible room savings! Depending on how long your trip is, where you're staying, and if you're going back again, the AP might be something to consider if you decide that the CS menus aren't quite what you want.
