Hi all, I will be 5 1/2 months pregnant when we go to Disney. We are only going for the weekend, not even doing theme parks, only Disney Quest. It is the most we can afford. The first day planned is Downtown Disney (all day), also a cheap way to enjoy Disney World.

I have read so much how big it is I am now wondering if it will be too much for me at 5 1/2 months pregnant. Are there places I can rest should I get too tired of walking?

Thank you!

DTD is a big place if you intend going from the old marketplace area right through Pleasure Island to the West Side area.

There are however plenty of places to sit and have a rest - benches etc, with some on the West Side being in the shade.

In addition there are plenty of places to stop and have a drink or snack for a while e.g Wolfgang Puck Express, Forty Thirst Street,
Ghirardellis :teeth: etc

If you like shopping it is a nice place to go.

DW will be at the end of month five come our trip (in only two and a half weeks!), I'm taking her to DTD, and then some!

DTD is a big place, but if you take it in bites, you should be absolutely fine. Our research tells us it has the essentials: lot's of places to sit, lot's of water, plenty of AC opportunities, and bathrooms everywhere.

We've actually heard that at her number of weeks, the walking is good, as it stops some of the swelling that stationary activity (like sitting on the car for twenty hours driving to Orlando) causes. Use your head, and have a ball.

Also just so you know during the day you no longer have access to Pleasure Island.

I don't want to rain on your parade or anything, but a friend of mine went to Disney Quest when she was pregnant and said there were a lot of things she couldn't do and she really didn't feel she got her money's worth. YOu might want to post over on the families board and get some feedback on that issue.

As far as the walking goes, I have done DTD at 5 months pregnant and it's no problem. Lots of places to sit--even have some seating in World of Disney! Just remember to drink a lot of water esp if it's hot and go at your own pace.

Have fun.
