Is Doctor Strange's name Stephen?

When I first began learning about Doctor Strange one interesting fact I learned is that Dr. Strange's name is Stephen and I think it's a gentleman's name and I often wonder if they also nickname him Steve or Stevie as well? I also found it weird that his middle name is Vincent and did Marvel choose the name Vincent in honor of Vincent Price?

Marvel was ridiculously hung up on name alliteration. Even "Big Bang Theory" made fun of it:

Raj: I can't wait to ask Stan Lee why he insists on giving all his characters first and last names that start with the same letter.
Leonard: Oh, come on, why would you do that?
Raj: Bruce Banner, Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Stephen Strange, Otto Octavius, Silver Surfer, Peter Parker. Oh, and worst of all, J. Jonah Jameson, Jr.

Raj: Fantastic Four, Daredevil, Invincible Iron Man, Happy Hogan, Curt Connors.
Howard: Would you just let it go?
Raj: And worst of all, Fin Fang Foom.

I knew The Big Bang Theory is obsessed with Marvel because my mother loves seeing The Big Bang Theory reruns every night and she was the one who told me that the character Raj loves everything Marvel. Since learning about Dr. Strange and getting my plushie of him I now have the biggest crush on him and Benedict Cumberbatch too. I found it quite shocking that Dr. Strange is named Stephen because Stephen is a common name among doctors and medical personnel and when I think of the name Stephen I think of a smart guy with loads of brains like the late Stephen Hawking
