Is DLR Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party worth attending??

By random chance, my wife and I scheduled our first Disneyland trip for the week of Halloween. We noticed that Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party is scheduled to be going on at this time, and was wondering if it was anything special worth purchasing another $60+worth of tickets for?

I would imagine that they won't change the decorations much between the normal park closing hours and the start of MT-o-TP, so is the only difference being able to wear costumes and people giving out candy?

Is this a worthwhile event? Has anyone attended one of these before? The extra $60+ in tickets is a lot if there won't be much extra stuff...

I KNOW that at WDW they have tons of great programming and events and such for Mickey's Not-So-Scary-Halloween-Party, but I haven't really heard any feedback on the DLR version of the party... :confused3

Wow, absolutely NO ONE has attended this or has any opinions on it? It really must not be very exciting...

Wish i could tell you whether if TOT is worth it or not. Me and DLGF will be going our first time this year on Oct 31st. But from what i've heard from other ppl on here, its totally worth it.

We have been 2 times and are planning to go this year.

I think it is worth it we have had fun they have trick or treat stations the characters are dressed up.
If you are going with kids I think it is for sure worth it if you are going with out kids I think I would still go but I love Halloween.
They also have little dance parties oh and lines for rides are shorter depending on how busy it is.
The first time we went it was only the second year they had done it so lines were really short. It has gotten busier but I still think it is worth it :)

This will be our first year going also :) we are excited:cool1:
this thread was started the other day and the first post has a link to a DL news site that has a very good description of the MTOTP towards the bottom of the article :)

hth:) looks like there is a lot more going on than trick or treating :thumbsup2

Whether Mickey's Trick-or-Treat party is worth attending really depends on how you feel about Halloween and Halloween costume parties. MToTP is really like a giant costume party, with lots of games, decorations, and candy. This year will be our third year attending MToTP. We like the experience of going on the rides in costume, and seeing everyone else dressed up, which just adds another layer of festiveness for us. So for our family, it's totally worth it, but we love Halloween and costume parties, plus we live in an area where trick-or-treating is rather iffy (large semi-rural lots, so hard for kids to go house to house).
