Is Disney Re-Opening stores??

Ah, I was so hopeful. We only have one in the Hampton Roads metro area, and it is too far for me to drive. I wish they would open one up at MacArthur Mall in Norfolk, or re-open the one at Chesapeake Square.

Does anyone have a clue exactly why they closed them all and now are opening them back up? Doesn't it seem kinda odd?

I talk to the manager at mall of america tonight here was her "scoop" Now that Disney owns the stores again they are re-opening and re-doing. The mall of America store will be like an experience store like nothing you have ever seen before. It will have birthday party rooms and possibly a resturant like American girl. The "big Wigs" come to MN in September but they all ready signed the lease. When they come they will bring the drawings.
By spring it should be changed over.... I am SOOOOOO excited!!!

Last time I checked(a few months ago)on Disneystore.com, the South Hills village store was the only one in the Pgh area. So hopefully that means they will re-open some stores in the Pgh area. The South Hills Village store is about an hour from me. I would love a closer one. We used to have one at the Westmoreland mall.

I, too, miss the Greensburg store. It is just a sad sad storefront now.

Just checked. Ross Park Mall store is reopening Sept. 21st! That is from their site.

I thought when I went to Ross Park, I thought I saw the Disney storefront there with a sign. I was on a mission for something and didn't go to investigate. This is good to hear.

I saw a sign at Burlington, MA mall that the Disney Store is opening on 8/18.

Where is the one that is in the Hampton Roads area? I always went to Chesapeake Square and thought that was the only one around.
