Is Disney interested in small contracts?

Hello Everyone,
We found a very small contract (25 points) at BRV which we love!!…we are waiting and waiting for ROFR…would Disney buy a contract this small??…we are so excited about the comments regarding the beginning of the refurb and would be heartbroken if Disney buys the contract.
So happy for all the BRV Owners on finally starting the refurbishment and I wish Disney would announce it soon.

Its hard to tell

MAYBE if the price is low enough they will take it, or MAYBE if the unit that the 25 points came from match another unit they already have then they might take it to combine the points into a new contact of xx + yy points.

Disney can only combine contracts if the points come from the same unit.

But at the end of the day only DVC knows what they will take and not take.

If you have negotiated a price then send it through, DVC can't take all contracts some will pass.

Yes, they buy small contracts. They bought my 25 point SSR contract this June. However, they haven't really been buying BRV contracts much at all, so you're probably okay.

Thank you, we have been waiting for a couple of weeks which seem to be forever, hopefully it passes ROFR and we can enjoy the 11 month advantage to book during Christmas

I've sold several small contracts that DVC has bought back 30-50 points. Two are delayed closings in October. I'm sorry to tell you that, but fingers crossed yours sails through!

I had a 25 point OKW(E) contract taken in June by ROFR, so yes they can and will take those contracts if it fits into whatever philosophy of ROFR at the moment. However, as some have already stated, they haven't really been taking many BRV contracts as of late, so I'd say that you've got a better chance based on the resort alone. I can also offer that I just had a 35 point SSR pass ROFR on a price that I thought was super likely to be gobbled up, so you really can't predict much around here...and as soon as you think you've figured it out, the mouse changes course. Still waiting, this is a completely different experience than the last time we bought resale, we purchase at SSR but when DVC was not exercising ROFR during the pandemic, so I guess now I feel I’m stressing double for this contract! Thank you for all your replies

The shortest time for me was 3 weeks: One week to close, and two weeks for it to show up in my account.

Do you know if Disney issued estoppel when they passed it? If the title company has that, time until close is dependent on how long it takes you and the seller to get your closing documents to the title company. Then on average about 2-3 weeks after closing until points in account.

I am 5 weeks past ROFR right now on a current contract I bought and haven't closed yet so I am looking at least two months from ROFR to points probably (assuming the seller hasn't flaked on me, and is just slow).
