Is Disney a pepsi or coca-cola carrier?

WDW has plenty of Coke Zero. Many resorts now have it for mug refilling and you can buy it in bottles in the parks and from vending machines.

I know this sounds strange, but I have to tell you that I love you for posting this.

I was bummed when I saw the PP that said they did not have any. It will be so nice to be able to get my soda fix!:cool1:

While I am a Pepsi fan and prefer it over coke there are times when I do drink Coke. Mixing alcohol I always use Coke and in Disney I love the fountain Coke. For some reason it has a better taste than the ones in NJ.

I'm a Coke lover for 48 years (except for the year they experimented w/ , dare I day it New Coke), but I'm utterly surprised at how many eating establishements, fair grounds etc. have recently switched from Coke to Pepsi. Leads me to believe that Pepsi is perhaps more willing to give better pricing than Coke!

If I have my choice I am a Pepsi girl-but don't mind coke. I just wish they would carry more of the coke products-we get the same selection-or lack thereof-as when we went to mexico several years ago. Coke, DC, Sprite maybe Fanta-would it kill them to put pibb in the fountain for a little variety???

I'm wierd I LOVE Coke, and I LOVE Diet Pepsi. Can't stand regular pepsi, or diet coke.

Coke Zero was in the fountains at the Port Orleans Riverside food court when we were there last spring.

Even the 3 Hess Gas stations located onsite at WDW are only allowed to sell Coca Cola products only, because of WDW's exclusive contract with them. So just because Hess is a seperate company and their locations offsite also sell Pepsi products, it must have been in their contract with WDW since they are onsite they can only sell Coca Cola products.

We are smugglers too!! I hate that you can't bring more than 3 oz on airplanes...otherwise I'd have a backpack full of Pepsi, instead of using precious luggage space!

My Crown tastes a lot better with coke than pepsi. Not a big fan of soda pops for all the ppl above the Mason Dixie line. I will have a diet coke with my meal. Even though WDW is located in the south the still havn't figured out that sweet tea is better than unsweet tea. :confused3

That's great news! I couldn't find it before. :thumbsup2

I agree. I couldn't find a thing the last time and I'm glad to be corrected!

I guess since Coke is giving the soda to WDW for free (that's the rumor that I've heard- usually spoken as a defense for re-using the refillable mugs. "....Since the soda doesn't cost Disney anything anyways then it shouldn't be a problem..."), I guess Coke has to charge everyone else more money to make their margin. :rolleyes1

Me...I just drink the cheap generic WallyWorld/Grub Cougar stuff....saves money...tastes just as good :thumbsup2:thumbsup2(2 thumbsups)

That is so true! I miss not having great sweet tea while I am at WDW. As to the Coke and Pepsi debate, I will drink either. Though I wouldn't mind have an RC myself.

I just posted about that on another thread (though I personally have never posted it in defense of refillable mugs, I avoid those threads and personally love to get a new mug each trip.) But anyway, I was not able to find where I originally read it a couple years ago, but I found this that takes about it being the case in Disneyland.

The article I read said it was all of Disney. I read that on an article about Disney little known secrets. It said Coca-Cola donated all the fountian drinks (which costs them very little) in exchange for exclusive rights to sell only their bottled beverages (which are big profit for them.)

Also, just a fun fact, Coke and Pepsi were both sold In Disney World for the first 2 weeks that the park was open.

I too was so happy when they brought in Coke Zero. I LOVE it!
