Is "Disaster" going to be Earthquake with a new Pre-show?

I guess I just want to know is there going to be any other changes to the ride itself,I know the pre-show was getting old and needed a change,but I think if you're going to change it you should also make some changes to the ride as well.

Based on the SHORT turnaround, I doubt that any major changes to the ride--besides the preshow--will take place.

I think it's a little more than a pre show change. From what was posted on screamscape.com, they are keeping the subway car but changing the experience:

From what they tell us the fake subway is still in the attraction, but the large truck that used to fall from the upper level and slide towards you was seen outside the building hanging from a crane the other day, so it looks like that effect has been removed.

I don't think it will be open by the 15th. I'm hoping it is open before Christmas. Employee preview isn't until next week.

Bummer. I was kind of hoping they would post the correct information under hours and info:

Earthquake® is currently closed for refurbishment and is scheduled to reopen December 15th.

PLEASE NOTE: Reopen dates are subject to change without notice.

I guess the second sentence is the correct info 3 days from the proposed opening.

I thought the 15th date was listed on the universal site somewhere as that was the date I have been telling everyone also. I looked on the main page yesterday and couldn't find any date given but did see it on the calendar/hours page.

If I hear anything official, I'll be sure to post it.
