Is DHS worth spending a day at right now?

My sister and I are heading to WDW in late Nov, after Thankgiving, and I am trying to figure out our days so I can book ADR's next week. We have 7 day non-hopper passes. She has been once before and I have been several times but this is likely my last trip (really). We will be spending 2 days each at Epcot and at AK (our favourite parks) probably 2 at MK and then I have one left that would have been for DHS but just wondering if its worth blowing a day on. I love Star Tours and really like Toy Story, like the Great Movie Ride and have seen Indiana Jones many times. I can take or leave RnR but my sister has a bad back so we likely won't do it and I won''t do ToT. Thoughts from anyone who has been recently would be much appreciated.

We go at least twice per trip.
We like all of the shows, and nearly all of the attractions.

And, ignore any "so much is closed" statements.
They are vastly overstated (many made by folks who haven't even been lately.)
Very, very few things are closed, and most guests won't even see anything under construction.

If you thought HS was a full day park 2-3 years ago, then it's still a full day park. Really aside from The Backlot Tour and Lights Motors Action, nothing else is closed. The construction isn't making it a half day park simply because majority of the construction going on didn't shut down anything other than a couple attractions.

I greatly miss LMA and we never really spend a full day at HS, but if you enjoy what's there, then you can definitely spend a full day there

we went back in Jan and we were done within a couple of hours. for us, it's a half day park at the moment.

This is a rope drop and out in 2 hours park for us and then we quickly jet over to another park or 2 and then go back in the evening for Fantasmic, usually dinner at the Sci Fi and just strolling around until close before heading to Epcot to close the park over there! LOL! We hit up this park 2-3 times during our stay if it's a 1 week quickie but 2 or more weeks and we hit it up more often since some of our most favorite rides are there but it is definitely not a park we could spend all day at, that could be because we go so often though!

A friend and I went early this month and even though LMA and Streets of America were gone, we still found things to do. The Great Movie Ride of course, (might want to get a FP, there was a surprisingly long line there around noon), then we watched a Star Wars stage show in front of the GMR, we saw the Indiana Jones stunt show, did the meet and greet with BB8 (dont know if thats still there), had lunch at the ABC Commissary (*very* crowded), then the Muppetvision 3D show, and finished off the night with Fantasmic (lucky the weather was good). There are things to do there, it basically just depends on what you want to see.

not to create an echo chamber but everyone here is right, nothing is really closed, the backstage tour was a shell of its former shelf for over a decade and LMA was a temporary attraction if I remember right. Personally I can't imagine a Disney trip without fantastic TT star tours toy story and the muppets

We always spend at least a day and a half or two days here. We also 'hop' in for a ride or two if a fastpass is available.

We spend two days there every trip and sometimes two and a half. We won't miss Fantasmic or the Star Wars fireworks, love to do Star Tours and TSMM at least twice and see Beauty and the Beast every trip so we have no problem filling two days there.

Okay, you guys have me convinced! I have never seen the Boardwalk in 7 trips so we may take the friendship boat to there for a few hrs if we need a break. For some reason, this sister did NOT like Muppets and my other sister and I just did not get it. I might make her go anyhow! :duck:Or, if we need a rest, we can always sit on the cement ledge and watch ToT go up and down. That is always entertaining.

We are taking a nine night trip in July and we are spending two mornings and two nights (different days) in HS. One night we are doing the new Pixar show and Fantasmic, another night we are doing the Star Wars Dessert Party. One morning we are doing Great Movie Ride (possibly for the last time), Beauty and The Beast Show, Frozen Sing A Long and other rides. The other morning we are doing an hour or two of character meets there with the Disney Junior and Star Wars characters and then heading to Disney Springs late morning. HS has a lot of things that we really want to see and Disney does a wonderful job of crowd disbursement so if you want to see everything in HS, you really cant do it all in one day.

We're going in December. I'm planning an early morning at HS and then we'll head over to Disney Springs for shopping and dinner.
If we're feeling up to it, we'll head back for fantasmic and the fireworks. Since its christmas time, I'm assuming the fireworks won't be SW so I don't care if we miss them.

On a long trip, since the cost of park days goes down, I still think DHS is worth it. We were just there over Easter week and DHS is (and has been for a while) our least favorite park by far. We are the "weirdos" that love AK and spend multiple days at that "half day" park. ;)

Our package came with an extra park day free, so we decided to do DHS before we flew out. We enjoyed our time there, especially our lunch at the Brown Derby lounge. Definitely check out the Frozen sing-a-long if you can. It's super funny!

I don't care about the theme/atmosphere of DHS as a whole, but there are a lot of things there that I like: Muppetvision (esp. now that the one at DCA is gone), RocknRoller Coaster, ToT, Sci-Fi. When we go in October, the park we're skipping is MK (we're close to DL and prefer it).

Shuttle, I am with you - I love AK but it is probably a tie with Epcot. And I do spend ALL day at AK when I go unless the heat gets me. I will look into the Frozen sing-along for sure, or is it just for kids?

I have seen the Muppets so many times I have lost interest in it.
We usually go to HS on arrival day since we wont have a whole day. We get everything done that we want to do usually in about 4 hours.
I hate to say it but we do not really care for the Fantasmic show so we do not go to it. I know a lot of people love it.
But we always take some time to go to HS and wouldn't skip it. We have to eat at Sci Fi and ride Rock n Roller Coaster, it is our favorite ride at Disney.
You could go half a day and then head out to do something else.
