Is DHS actually open until 1 am?

I'm looking at the EMH for September and with the EMH it would be open from 9 am to 1 am. Does it actually stay open that late? I know it says up to 3 hours, meaning it may not be but I'm curious as to if he ever is.

If their posted closing time is 10:00 PM and they are having Evening Extra Magic Hours that night, then yes they are closing at 1:00 AM for the guests staying onsite.

Magic Kingdom was open until 2am during our last stay and I heard someone say that last year on New Year's Eve they were open until 4am! I'm not sure on that one since we were not there!

Yes it's true that the Magic Kingdom did stay open until 4:00 AM on New Years Eve.

We were at MK till 3am last July, and at DHS at 1am so it is very true.

We go to every EMH at night during all of our trips. If the park is set to close at 10 PM and has EMH that night, yes, it IS open until 1 AM. It's a fabulous time to go!

The general rule is:

the later the hour, the fewer the guests.

MK was from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m.! It worked perfectly for us- we went to WCC for dinner and took about an hour break there. When we returned to the park they were handing out the wristbands, so we grabbed ours on the way back into the park...no standing in line needed!

I'd say be sure to grab the wristband as early as possible. After the parade the cart at the hub was absolutely swamped. By getting ours early we were able to use every second of those extra three hours!

A few years we ago Mk was till 2am I think. DH and DS got tired and went back to the hotel. DD and I stayed the whole time.... there was barly any people there! Probaly only 10 people on Main Street!
