Is DCL still adhering to blockout dates for OBB discounts?

I was just thinking today...we would have booked an April 2021 Fantasy cruise back in Sept. 2019 with our OBB discount but it was one of the blocked out dates. Instead, we booked a "dummy" cruise that we have yet to commit to. I wonder if DCL is still enforcing blockout dates, or would they be glad to have people book the cruises at a 10% discount now?

I don’t know about the block out dates, but I did email them a few weeks ago about if they plan to extended expiration dates. They told me no. You could write them.

Also lost my OBB discount and credit when I rebooked my March 21 spring break cruise to a cruise that was a week later in 2021 that was during a blackout date. Costco, who I booked through, even tried to speak to a manager at DCL to see if I could get the discount moved due to the situation and they wouldn't allow it.

yea, that’s what I’ve encountered. I’ve tried once through my TA and once on my own. I would think they would prefer to keep a booking than have someone cancel it, but looks like they aren’t worried about the cancellations. I’m canceling 3 cruise bookings for September and 1 for January (possible). I would move them if I got to keep the placeholder incentives. But so far they haven’t budged on that policy.

A few days ago, I moved my canceled cruise to a 2021 Fantasy cruise during a blackout week and lost my 10% OBB discount... so yes, they’re still blacked out. 🙁

Yup. I moved my Fantasy 7/25 cruise to the Fantasy 12/19 cruise and lost my 10%. In all honesty I had sort of forgotten about the OBB on the first cruise until my TA told me the Christmas cruise would not include it. It was not really a big deal because I priced out the Christmas cruise online and and so already knew the price (it wasn't like they added an extra 10%.)
