Is Darth Vader Disney's darkest villian?

So, I do not consider Vader a Disney character, and never will. Disney bought that franchise long after he was created. My first thought was Frollo also, especially because he was supposed to be a man of God.

Nope, Primarily because Darth Vader is the creation of Lucasfilms not Disney. No question, Maleficent is the darkest.

I'm going with literal definition. Black is the darkest color. Darth wears black head to toe, even covering his face.
What colour is he under the clothes ;-)

If we go by clothes, then next darkest villains are:
2. Bowler Hat Guy
3. Ursula
4. Frollo
5. Maleficent
6. Ratigan
7. Jafar

What colour is Chernabog?

Chernabog is usually depicted as all black.

Didn't Vader have his hand directly in the destruction of Alderaan? At a population of 2 billion humans and 5% other, I'd say quite a few animals died. And the fact they had no weapons and were not a threat to the Empire, made him eviler.
Actually that was Tarkin He got Leia to say the name of the planet where the rebel base was and destroyed it anyway. He said something to Vader thinking he'd got the location but she lied. She gave the location of a base they had already abandoned. Vader knew all along she wouldn't give it up. Tarkin was probably lucky he didn't survive the destruction of the death star.

Honestly, it was the destruction of Alderaan that led directly to the Empire's downfall. Most people were willing to go along with the idea that the Empire would keep them safe, but after Alderaan, people starting questioning that, including many in the Imperial military who would end up defecting. It was a major miscalculation in a way, though I don't think the Emperor cared about keeping up appearances at that point, with the Death Star online. He dissolved the Senate immediately and made his "unstoppable" battlestation the symbol of his power. If only they'd caught that exhaust port thing....

True. And the planet was outwardly loyal and popular among the inner worlds when they destroyed it. If only they had listened to Vader when he was arguing with Motti regarding the power of that station vs the force.

Since I saw a video telling me that Oogie Boogie is only green in 1 scene of the movie, but he's actually beige... I don't really believe my memory anymore :P

I thought Chernabog is black, but with the lighting... what colour would he be in regular daylight?

I said that Tarkin took the lead above. Vader not rejecting it or challenging the decision made it even more egregious. Add to that the replacement Death Star receiving the visit from Vader to accelerate it's completion knowing it's full capabilities after witnessing Alderaan. Darkest villain? A person who is driving a weapon of planetary destruction, meets that criterion for me.

Iron Eyes Cody in a lost scene or episode of Davy Crockett. No longer available it was so gruesome.

Though Technically Vader wasn't in the chain of command, Tarkin was in charge at that point in time as per the emperor's orders.

I should have expected to find you holding Vader's leash. Leia to Tarkin.

Vader didn't require orders from Tarkin to perform a choke hold on Admiral Motti. He had expressed free will to do it right in front of his superior. I think that points to his lack of respect to Tarkin, his alleged superior, in name only.
