I was just wondering if you can still ask for CRO and get a room only ressie with the one night's deposit due in 10 days and the rest due at check-in. I haven't seen anything on this lately and I'm hoping to do that for a (hopefully) October visit.
Sure is. There has been rumors flying around for a few years that CRO will end but that isn't the case. I doubt it will happen any time soon. When you call just ask for CRO.
yes you can. When you call just say, I want to book this reservation with the cro, please. Then the cm acted confused for a moment, and I said, I prefer there payment & cancelation policy. So if you can only book wdwt please transfer my call. (act like you "know" what your talking about) and the cm said oh, no problem, I can do both, let me change my screen. I think if you don't say something, they try to book you into wdtc, but if you (are in the loop) your ok.
Good luck, and remember if you don't succeed hang up and get another cm.
I think that this so called merge between CRO and WDTC has actually happened. BUT, room only reservations can now be booked without problem. I think that that's why their systems have been running slow.
Also, many people have been posting that they're receiving written confirmation that balance is due on a room-only 45 days prior, but the balance actually isn't due until checkin.
Just call and tell them that you want to book a room-only reservation.
I called the above 800# on Sunday and got WDTC. The CM booked me with the 1 night deposit, 5 day cancellation terms for my room only reservation with no problem.
