is Cove cafe worth it for a non-coffee person?

I've been seeing a lot of raves for the Cove Cafe, but I don't drink coffee of any kind, or anything with coffee in it. I plan on checking out the adult areas anyhow, but is the Cove worth a trip without the coffee?

It's a quiet place to sit, but there are other areas also. I'd rather grab a nice deck chair in adult area

I really like their chai tea. I typically order it, sit at the little side bar area that looks out toward the Cove Bar and write in my journal while listening to my iPod. Very relaxing.

There is no requirement to order coffee to check out the adult areas.

There's tea and other drinks there too. As well as snacks (sweet during the day, savoury after about 6 pm). It's also a nice quiet adult place to chill and read. Both inside and outside.

Why don't you drink coffee?

It wasn't for me. I'd read before the cruise that they had some nice treats there, but they didn't on my cruise. On the Magic it was quite small- I definitely would rather hang out on deck.

Just so you know, any of their frozen coffee drinks they can make with no coffee. I had a cookies and cream one on the Panama canal cruise - it was so good!

I don't drink coffee AT ALL but always visit Cove Cafe to get a chai latte onboard. It is just one of my guilty pleasures onboard!! Would I hang out there all day instead of out on deck...no...but it is a nice place to drop in a sit for awhile to relax, browse through some magazines, catch up on the news (usually on the big screen TV) and listen to some music. It is also a very nice place to hang when the weather is not so great outside.

I don't drink coffee on vacation, but my husband does. He goes into Cove Cafe and I just go grab a free hot tea from the soda station and then join him in Cove Cafe. I love sitting in there, its just so relaxing.
Especially on the chiller cruises we have taken.

Have fun

We love the cove cafe on the newer ships. In many cruises, it has never been crowded at all; it is a great place to relax, enjoy the view of the adult pool area (which is also relatively calm), catch up on news if we sit near the TV at one end, read their magazines, and enjoy their drinks (coffee and non-coffee drinks). When we've gone there and not ordered drinks the staff have been warm and welcoming…never the slightest hint of an expectation that we would order coffee. A great conversation retreat or a reading retreat.

We have spent some time talking with the servers there (baristas), they all seem to have wonderful stories about where they came from, their life away from Disney, insights into the ships life, etc. What a pleasure. Ask them about the difference between American and other country coffee drinking habits, now that's an education!

They can do any of the teas as a latte also, hot or iced. I've had the chai latte, delicious. Also, on our Panama Canal cruise I got quite a few iced tangerine rooibos lattes. They'll make you whatever you want if they have the ingredients.
