We're thinking of staying at PPH doing concierge. Is it worth it? Can I have some reviews?

We thought it was neat to have but we weren't able to spend a whole lot of time in it or make it to the lunch/dinner things because we were always in the park. The little breakfast was decent and we did enjoy our first day using the lounge but we are going again at Christmas and will not be doing the concierge because we didn't think it was worth the price.

I've been using the planner services now, its been nice. I go on the 3rd of Oct I will let you know.

I wish I had that Disney feeling at work.

I asked the same question about a year ago and the general consensus was no for what I was being quoted. I know the price is different from hotel to hotel. I think it was going to cost me an extra $600 for a 4 night stay at GCH. I was told the rooms are no different. The breakfast and snacks are good but not worth $150/day. You would also have to plan to be back in the hotel over the course of the day I guess to get the most out of it. I think for some people it makes them feel special and that is totally valid. If it adds something special to the trip and you can afford it go for it. For my family we decided it was not a good investment. We stocked our room with about $50 worth of breakfast food and snacks and called it a day.

Wow! Can we take snacks to room? We are huge fruit & water drinkers, but I don't think we eat or drink 150.00 worth..we are going for 6 days..You put it in perspective. Well it's been paid.. I will do a trip report.

Yep, you can take snacks to your room, you can get a tray as well to help with your haul.

Thanks! I heard they have wine too! I think I feel a little better about the splurge now. Lol

Just enjoy it and forget about the cost since it's already been paid for. We did like having access to the lounge and the theme park view was the die for! We wouldn't do it again because of the cost but if money wasn't a factor then why not. lol

There is a concierge thread, with pictures, lurking around here somewhere.

If you were going to buy the fruit and water *from Disney* anyway, you'd be surprised at how that will add up!

I wouldn't do it for $150 per day extra, since there are just the 3 of us with limited diets and a low urge to go back to the hotel for every food-time, but we've done it before for waters, fruit, and the feeling of luxury.

Oh, and they have a DVD library to rent from for free (2 at a time), and I remember that DLH had games to play (the others might have games too, but we used them at DLH).

We'll be there in 10 days, and have decided to do concierge - there are 5 of us so the price per head if you look at it that way is lower, and with 3 kids we think the snacks and drinks will add up. Also we are looking forward to the convenience of having breakfast close at hand.

whether or not it is worth it, depends on how many are in your party (the charge the same price per room or suite, not per guest). It is worth it for us, but we're a family of 6 when we go. If it was 4 or less, I'm not sure it would work out, although, for us, it still might. The water alone saves us big money (we are big water drinkers) over buying in the park (but we wouldn't do that, we'd get grocery delivery or go shop for ourselves).

Wine AND beer!

Anyone know if the concierge has Bud Light? Or is it mostly microbrews? DH would be THRILLED if they carried Bud or Busch or even Coors!

It is either Miller or Bud, I don't remember. You (technically) can't take beer or wine out of the lounge though.
