Is Commander's Terrace usable for a small group dinner?

I just love the Commander's Terrace and know that it's used for the cake cutting portion of Escape weddings. What I'm wondering is if it's usable for a dinner for about a dozen people?

From the photos I've seen, it definitely looks big enough, but I haven't seen it in person so I'm not sure.

Anyone have any idea?

I would say you could definitely fit a roman table with seating for 12 on the terrace — it's a good deal bigger than the private dining room at Citricos, which seats 12.

Just in case this was part of your plan, it's important to note that you can't see the MK's fireworks from Commander's Terrace. But it has a lovely view of the Polynesian.

Thanks so much for the info! I've got a call in to my planner to see if they'll let us use it. I think it's the prettiest spot and was considering doing an Escape wedding just so we could have our cake cutting there.

Thanks for the tip on Wishes ... we're actually planning a DP at Epcot that night after dinner, so it's not a worry.

Now I'm wondering if they'd let us do the vow renewal there at one end of the terrace (we'll have 11 guests) and the dinner at the other ... hmm...... We're currently planning to do that at Ariel's, but I'd love to switch if we can!

Thanks for asking that question, Iwas thinking the same thing. Do you know how many people Commader Terrace actually holds? I was thinkng of doing a smal duffet there with the cake cutting and then a DP somewhere we can see Wishes.

I had asked my planner, Carol, if we could do a "pre-reception" outside on the Commander's Terrace before our cake/champagne celebration (so our guests have something to eat/do while we are taking pictures) and she said they are not able to do food in that space, besides the cake.

OK, my coordinator called me back.

She said we can definitely do the vow renewal there with our group because it's small. The venue fee is $2K.

She's pretty sure that we won't be able to do the dinner there, but is going to check just to make sure.

So I can't ask for more than that! I definitely want to do our ceremony there, no question. Now I just have to figure out a back-up for the dinner. Probably just the Whitehall Patio ...
