I hate to post this, but we were there last year for Columbus Day weekend from Friday through the following Wednesday. The entire weekend plus that Monday, Tuesday AND Wednesday were BUSY!! As in summertime/holiday busy! Actually, Fri and Sat. were not as busy as Sun, Mon and Tues. We thought the same thing "well, it's not a federal holiday, school's are in session", but what we didn't know is that apparently the State of Utah has what's called UEA which makes it a four day weekend for them and I swear the entire state of Utah was at
Disneyland during that period. I've seen a post on another board that called that weekend "Utahans entering Anaheim"!

It was kind of a joke in our family, as we had expected the crowds, but when Monday night came and it was still packed we figured Tues. would be slow. Tuesday morning we walk up to the front gates, and the entrance lines are all the way back to the CA Adventure front gates!! So then we figured, well Wed. has GOT to be slow. Same thing!! We still have an awesome trip though, even with the crowds.
We were very surprised, but we made the best of it. Get to the parks before opening, head to Fantasyland first if you have little ones, take advantage of fastpass, and remember even when it's busy it's still will be a great vacation--hey, you're at Disneyland!
