I just found out I have an "in" for Club 33 if we want to go. There will be 11 of us so I want to know if it's really that cool and why? Are tickets included? 5 of us have APs but the other 6 don't.

Just looking for any insights/info.

:thanks:

I wish I had the experience to tell how just how neat it is. But I don't... and maybe someday I will:)Sorry!:confused3:confused3

I also haven't been, but what I can say is that based on these boards and the comments everyone makes about what they'd be willing to do to go there just once, I'd say if you have an opportunity, take it! A one-day ticket is included for each diner, but I can't remember if it's a park-hopper or just a DL ticket. Someone else will surely answer!

I found some info and prices. It looks like it will cost a good, if not more, $500 for the 5 of us, not including bar drinks (which I doubt we'd get). I am not sure I can justify that kind of money for lunch but I am sure trying. ;)

Welllllllllll... I would do it. Opportunities to dine there are RARE! I justify it like this...just getting a meal and a drink at Blue Bayou is $40 per person, and I can eat there anytime I want, so $100 for a meal that could quite possibly be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is a no-brainer for me!

I like the way you think. :thumbsup2 It would be a once in a lifetime I am sure.

DH is a foodie so hopefully the food is fantastic.

To me it's really that cool.
Why? Because it's a one of a kind place.

I have never been, but I suspect that people think it is worth going because the opportunity to go is so rare. I can't imagine that the food is any better than the other high end Disney food--its probably run by the same people.

:thanks:

It was my understanding since the admission included a PH ticket, the minimum price would be $72.00 not including drinks. here is a previous thread.

I have yet to go, but if it happens, it would rank in the top 5 of experiences if not the top at DLR.

Then you definitely should do Club 33! :goodvibes:laughing:

I have been trying to find an in for years, you better do it or you might regret it! :)

 I think you are right. Now to hear from my friend who knows the contact. :hyper: There are 11 total in our party but I told her this morning I'd settle for 2- the rest can eat downstairs. :snooty: :rotfl2:

Yes, it really is that neat. :goodvibes

I have been twice. Once 15 years ago, and once just this past February.

Included in your reservation is a one day park hopper, good only on the day of your reservation. Lunch was $72 per adult (ages 10 and over). There were 3 adult dining and our bill was $250.00 and we left a $50.00 tip...$300 total. We had 3 meals, one glass of wine and one beer, and one iced tea.

The food was excellent, service was fantastic and the whole experience is unforgettable. There is so much history in the Club and everyone who works there is more than willing to share what they know as well. I would say go...if you can swing the prices.

I do know that if you have a party of 10 or more you have to make special arrangements and will need to sign a contract before hand. I believe they make you select a special menu as well. I'm not a 100% on this, but it something to consider. I am looking at having a large group when we go again in August, and was told this by my contact.

I have been to Disneyland so many times and truly Club 33 is a highlight and in my opinion is worth every penny. :thumbsup2

Good to hear! :goodvibes I bet there is some sort of contract with a party that large. I haven't said anything to the other half of our party in case it falls through. Don't want to give that bad news. ;)

I went there in the early 90's. It was nice. I cant remember what I ate,but it was really good. It was fun to walk through a door that not many people can get into. Go and enjoy it. Youll have fun. JO:cool1:

Jenny, you should go, if only for the history and experience alone. The food is good (not spectacular, but really good). I loved walking around and taking pictures of all the amazing art they have in there. And make sure you go out on the balconies and take pics from up there.

Enjoy!

I say go for it! I've been there and it was great. My only caution would be to handle the issue about your party size carefully. If you contact is not someone you know personally but instead is a distant second or third hand contact then they might not love the idea of booking a ressie for that large a party for someone they don't really know. After all, you would be going as a personal guest of theirs. They are personally liable to the club if there are any no-shows in your party - to the tune of around $100 something per guest I believe . .

Also, depending on when you want to go it could be really difficult to get a ressie for a party that size. Then again it could be no problem at all. So I think you are smart to keep this possibility from the others until you find out more info.
