Is Cirque du Soleil worth the high ticket price?

La Nouba, like all Cirque shows, is best seen from the higher up, second level, less costly seating. Much of the shows' performance is done high up and when viewed from the lower, more costly seats, causes neck craning, sore neck, missed parts of the show.

Over the years I have seen four Vegas (multiple times at several), one touring and La Nouba (3 times). La Nouba is as wonderful and exciting a show as any.

Am I the only one who is completely creeped out by Cirque du Soleil? Years ago I was given free tickets and passed-- I had no idea they were that pricey! I don't think I'd go to it even if they were paying ME. I am breaking into a cold sweat just thinking about it.

I have received free tickets three times, and gone three times. The first time was lower front and center, the second upper center, the third lower right side. View wise, the upper center seats were the best.

But the La Nouba show just isn't my favorite, so I wouldn't pay to go. It's not that I don't like Cirque - I loved Alegria. But La Nouba just doesn't do much for me. The only acts I really liked were the trampoline and the aerial silk. Even the diabolos don't really do anything for me. I didn't like the bird person or the clowns in white at all, or the washer woman character either.

We thought it was a great show. We prefered Blue Man Group at CityWalk hoewever....ALOT less money as well.

I think it is worth it! I've seen it twice and absolutely love it.

I have heard from several people who have seen it that it is worth it. I am taking my DD this coming trip. It is going to be a Mommy/Daughter night out. She has seen the videos and was begging to go and I really want to see it. I did spring for the front and center seats but we aren't right at the stage, we are almost at the complete back of that section. The tickets were pricey. I could have gotten discount seats through my DH's employer. His company is the main sponsor of the show, but I wanted to be right in the middle so we could see both sides of the stage.

It is worth it, we sat halfway up & off to the side a bit but could see very well.
our DD was 9 at the time and she thoroughly enjoyed it as well.
Don't miss out on a chance to see it.
it's also a nice reprieve midweek to let your feet & legs recover a bit from the parks.

We Cirque! La Nouba was actually the first Cirque show we ever saw. Even my then 4 & 5 yr old kids loved it. Since then we have seen Ka, O, Zumanity and we are seeing Mystere next month. We always see a Cirque show in Vegas.

I would absolutly reccomend La Nouba! We sat in the middle just a few rows from the back and could see everything great.

Its worth it. The DVDs and shows on t.V do NOT show a 1/3 of whats going on at a time.

You HAVE to see it! It is the most amazing thing in the entire world. We've seen La Nouba at DTD 5 times and still aren't bored of it! Can't wait to see it again next year it truly is fantastic!

I loved Cirq, have been twice, and would go again.

first time cat1 seating... it really hurt my neck,.... but the intensity of the show was soooo high there!

second time cat3. as centre as you can get, they were great seats, and saw the show in a new perspective!

I would go again this trip, but my husband asked if we can skip this round LOL

You are aware that the Blue Man Group plays with paint and other such things, right? The first couple rows have splash guards. It's a pretty fitting show to replace Nickelodeon Studios.

I loved LaNouba before I had kids, we did Cat 2 and were in the center high up. It was a wonderful show, but DH didn't really care for it. I grew up with performing arts, and he didn't is what it really comes down to.

Is it worth it? Depends on your point of view. If you're the type of person who would love to receive tickets to a show for your birthday, it's worth it. If you look at a birthday card with tickets in it, and are upset it's not to a major sporting event, you'll probably be bored and think it a waste of money.

DH wore khakis and a polo shirt, I wore capris and a nice top. That being said, there were people there in cut-offs and tank tops, soooo ...

We've seen several cirque shows from vegas to local stop through shows. We thought WDW's was by far the worst and we paid the most for it, but I think you'll find many who disagree.

I'd love to see others, especially "LOVE" with all the Beatles music, but I have only seen La Nouba in Orlando so far. It was expensive, and I even bought some of the mid-range seats, but I felt like it was worth it. Now, I haven't gone back to see it again, but I think for something that a lot of people would say you should do at least once, it's a fair enough price.

The show is available on DVD (although it doesn't do justice), and at least one other Cirque du Soleil show is now available on blu-ray, so maybe you should check those out to get a better idea.

I watched "LOVE" in Vegas and I loved it. It was my first ever Cirque show. We sat on the 2nd level. I think the upper levels are the better seats. Characters enter from up high and come down and you can't get that experience from sitting on the ground level unless you are looking up. My seat for LOVE was on the very inside so I got to watch the show plus see the people load right next to me to come into the show in various ways. It was a very cool experience. I love watching Cirque weekend specials on tv when they come on. La Noube actually came on one time and I got to watch it. I enjoyed it.

To OP.. I don't know which seats or section or got, but try to get an upper level which will be cheaper and you can get the full effect. Everyone's likes are different you may like it, love it or hate it. But you won't know until you try it. You'll either do it again or never do it again.
