Is Chef Mickeys really that hard to get?

Is it really that hard to get an ADR for Chef Mickey's? I would like to take my kids there, but it sounds next to impossible to get an ADR there. If we cannot get into CM, where else can we find Mickey for a character meal? Thanks!!!

I think it depends on the time of year you are going too! I got an ADR for lunch at 12:50 for late Sept. without a problem at all.

Try for later in the week. The cast member on the phone told me that it seemed to be easier to get a ressie toward the end of the week. We got a 7:40 am breakfast on a Friday at CM without a problem. Good Luck!!

Made the dinner ADR for our September trip during FD when the 90 day window opened and got a ressie for later in the week will be there. Time was a little later than I had wanted but now we are pretty happy as the time allows us to come back to the resort and rest a bit before heading over.

I agree it depends when you're going. We got a breakfast ADR for mid-November for the time period we wanted with no problem.

'Ohana's character breakfast has Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and one or two others.

We got breakfast on 9/21 at 10:30am with no problem.

I had no problem getting breakfast on Sept 25. And when I was looking around for other breakfasts around the MK area on different days, Chef Mickey's was given as an alternative numerous times.

We go to Chef Mickey's at least once every trip, and I have never had any problem getting a reservation exactly when I wanted it....for 8 people! Now, don't hate ---I know I must be extremely lucky. It also helps that I make ressies for just before or just after the meal rush times.

We have been in Oct, during MLK weekend several times, and we are going at T'giving this year.

I just made a T'giving week ADR yesterday, and it was within 5 minutes of my requested time.

Even though it doesn't have Mickey, I love, love, love Cape May breakfast with Minnie and Goofy. It is my favorite! According to allearsnet, you can also find Mickey at Donald's Safari breakfast, at 'Ohana breakfast, and at the Garden Grill.

I just called (AGAIN) and there is nothing available anytime from Sept 19-25, breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

I just keep calling and checking. One day I will have luck!!

On Saturday I got an 8 am reservation for Chef Mickey's on 9/4. That is only 2 weeks in advance. Someone could have cancelled minutes earlier for all I know.

I'm trying to get one for a late lunch on 9/22 with no luck. I had an early morning reservation scheduled that day but decided that we didn't want to get up so early with MNSSHP that night. Cancelled that one, now trying to get one around 3:00.... Here's hoping.

I think that it might be harder to get CM then to get CRT!!! I have been calling forver (well the last week) I have been trying to CHANGE my ressie from 5pm on Nov 17th b4 the MVMCP to almost any other day that we are there...between 5p-7p

I too had no problem at all getting Chef Mickeys for dinner at the time we wanted. I logged in at 6am the day our 90 days opened up and it was super easy. I think that is the key to getting 99% of what you want for ADRs. Good Luck...also keep an eye on the TRADE & CANCEL ADR thread...you never know...Have a great trip!!!

I agree, it's hard..

if you can go very early, or late, you will have more luck.... seems like for TG week all that is coming up is 7am or 9pm.. LOL Neither of which i really want.. LOL

However, have to tell you -- the Poly breakfast is delicious!! And that had Mickey, Stitch, Lilo and Pluto when we were there 3 weeks ago!

Keep on trying every day.

I was lucky and got CM for the day and time we wanted for November. Like a PP, I logged on at 5am Central time on our 90 day mark.

We are going for breakfast....maybe a breakfast ressie is easier to get?

But, I think your best bet is to keep trying every day. I know that things have already opened that weren't available the first time I tried, like 'Ohana breakfast.

I've never had a problem getting a reservation there or at CRT. Luck of the Irish I guess. We've gone in March, May and September.
