Is CBR within walking distance to Bonnet Creek?

I am staying at Bonnet Creek this May and friends are going to be staying at Caribbean Beach - is it possible to walk from one to the other? I know they are close to each other, but is the distance walkable (with kids) or would we be better off renting a car or hopping a cab?

They are right next to each other and separated by a berm on Cayman Way.

I personally wouldn't try to walk it. There's no sidewalks or pedestrian cross walks. Even if you were willing to try crossing those roads without the crosswalks - there's a lot of Floridian "nature" to cross. I don't trust what's in a wooded area in Florida and you couldn't pay me enough to walk through it!
