"You can use all the excuses you want, but the room will still smell after you cook in the room."
Then Disney should do away with room service as well and ban bringing takeout into the room. In a very short time the smell of whatever you "cooked" will be gone. It's not like someone is going to be frying fish in the room.
"If Disney wanted you to have a microwave in your room, they would install a microwave in the room. "
As I and others stated in previous posts, Disney DOES allow microwaves in the room. They have them (at least some resorts) for the sole purpose of supplying them to rooms on request and there are no rules whatsoever on what you can cook in them or where to place them. They WANT you to have them or they wouldn't supply them free of charge. There is no safety issue here. Think of the hundreds, if not thousands of blow dryers being used in the mornings at any given resort. Disney resorts have to be built to withstand a tremendous load.
"And speaking of safety, microwaving baby food and baby bottles in a microwave isn't safe since you can get hot spots that can burn the baby's mouth. It's much safer to fill the sink with hot water and place the bottle or food into the hot water to warm it."
I think that anyone who knows how to push a button on a microwave knows to give the bottle a couple of shakes or stir up the baby food before you feed it to your kid. Besides the thought of putting a baby's bottle in a bathroom sink that has been used by thousands of strangers is disgusting.
I'm not sure I understand your anger over a really harmless subject but it would be nice if we could discuss a topic without questioning people's sanity. Besides, I've seen a lot "nuttier" ideas on how to save money at DW than using a microwave. I'm amazed this can be turned into a controversial subject.
